Indonesia is not a signatory of the UN Refugee Convention, Soren. If they had chosen to stay in Indonesia they would have been subject to arbitrary detention, they would have not had the right to work, to educate their children, to receive medical care. Australia is a great deal more attractive. Something you, as a refugee from Europe would agree on, I think, Soren. Tsk, tsk. Just think, people wanting a decent life for themselves and their families. Funny that, hey? Such a terrible idea, right? Roll Eyes

So what? It still doesn't stop Indonesians(at all levels) from taking their money, ignoring Australias wishes and put them on leaky boats (to enhance/make look good their "refugee/asylum seeker look) to get them into Australian territory.

What you say only proves that they are "illegal country shoppers".

If they flew all the way to Indonesia ... why not then fly onto Australia?
