I figure that clean energy powered cars will make up the majority of Australia's transportation. Smog will be a relatively recent memory for me by the time I am 45 years old.

The world can't be bothered supporting a billion right now in Africa. A line gets drawn, and the Chinese seem to be investing in exploiting the continent in various places. The Africans can continue waiting for the world to pay its reparations to Africa, whilst Africans do nothing other than eat, poo, and breed. Or Africans can get over themselves and join the world's rat race. Glad that places like Kenya and (somewhat) Nigeria are recreating modern lifestyles to enjoy.

I think you are seriously misguided if you have been *predicting population *numbers with a ruler.

The United Nations does not know what it is doing with itself. If they had their way, Australia would be a third world country by now, with a big population of migrants to ease the overcrowding of Africa and the Middle East.

In 2018 there might be about 1.2 billion Africans. In 2050, there is going to be about 1 billion Africans. AIDS, famine, war, changing roles of women, being caught up in modernisation, combating disease through birth control, and other population declining factors will bring about a relief of population numbers in Africa. We might well see an increase in African numbers over the next decade (I would be on that). But by 2030, Africa will be numerically in a state of decline.

I could imagine that African Australians might number 1 million of the 40 million Australians that are projected to be our population by 2050. But there will be a time when the world will not accept Africans as either migrants or refugees, as they are seen as a burden.
