Water is a condensing GHG. CO2 is a non–condensing GHG.

CO2 is the basic control knob for global climate.

We see the heat content of the oceans zooming up. That means more warm water reaching the poles and that means more ice gets melted exposing dark rock and ice—positive feedback. The high numbers of huge wildfires—another positive feedback.

We are talking about a huge increase in ocean heat content. That will lead to icemelt, already is. Fires get bigger due to AGW.

There is nothing to limit the CO2 content of the atmosphere but our willingness to change. 3000 years of coal—if we don’t change our energy source away from fossil fuels we will be mining coal no matter how deep it is.

Petroleum could be used as a feedstock to chemical industry.

Yeah and if the water is at -2.0ºC? it would need to get to about -1.69ºC to melt Arctic water. On current rates that would be 7 times 55 years.

Same as in the Arctic, especially the Pacific side.
