EMBATTLED Labor MP Emma Husar locked in a meeting with a charity in Brisbane only one day before the Bruno Mars concert that she attended using taxpayer funded-flights and accommodation.

The Daily Telegraph revealed this week Ms Husar took a taxpayer-funded trip to Brisbane during which she saw a Bruno Mars concert with the Chief Inspector of Penrith Police Station, Tracy Stone.

On the day of the concert, March 14, Ms Husar had no meetings in Brisbane but claimed $114 for use of a government-chauffeured Comcar, which she says was probably from the airport to her hotel, along with flights and accommodation

Her only two meetings in Brisbane were the following day, on March 15, with a homeless service called The Micah Project and she also visited a domestic violence call centre, DVConnect.

The Lindsay MP defended the use of taxpayer funds for her trip to Brisbane, saying the two meetings were relevant to her parliamentary position.

Ms Husar had declined to answer The Daily Telegraph’s questions about whether the two meetings were organised before or after Ms Husar decided to go to the March 14 concert.

But The Micah Project yesterday said they accepted the meeting invitation on March 13 — the day before the Bruno Mars concert was held on the night of the 14th and two days before their meeting with Ms Husar.

Micah Projects chief executive Karyn Walsh said they accepted Ms Husar’s meeting request via email on Tuesday, March 13.

It is understood Ms Stone purchased the tickets to Bruno Mars when they went on sale in December 2017.

Ms Husar’s flight back from Brisbane to Sydney on March 15 cost taxpayers $492.

After the concert, Ms Husar and Ms Stone shared a hotel room together as friends, with the hotel bill paid for by the taxpayer.

Her spokesman said the cost of her accommodation in Brisbane, along with her flight from Cairns to Brisbane, was taxpayer-funded but had not yet been made publicly available.

Ms Husar is now under investigation by the Independent Parliamentary Expenses Authority for possible misuse of taxpayer funds.

Emma Husar is an Australian politician.

She has been the Australian Labor Party member for the Australian House of Representatives seat of Lindsay since the 2016 federal election.

Born: 20 April 1980 (age 38 years), Kingswood
Nationality: Australian
Party: Australian Labor Party

When Albo, the defacto leader of the Labor Party, puts the skids under Emma will there be a new Labor By-Election for the Lower House ?

New allegations rock Labor MP Emma Husar
by Andrew Tillett Aug 2 2018 at 2:03 PM Updated Aug 2 2018 at 2:03 PM

...
Labor MP Emma Husar has rejected a fresh wave of allegations over her behaviour from ex-staffers as her political future hangs in the balance. Alex Ellinghausen

Besieged NSW Labor MP Emma Husar has denied a raft of allegations levelled against her, including claims she exposed herself in a frontbencher's office, abused and sexually harassed staff and diverted money into her personal bank account.

Opposition Leader Bill Shorten is under growing pressure to cut Ms Husar loose after Buzzfeed published further details of the internal Labor investigation into complaints from multiple former staff members over her behaviour.

Among the fresh claims were that while sitting opposite frontbencher Jason Clare one evening in his office, she crossed and uncrossed her legs several times in what a staffer thought was a deliberate attempt to show she was not wearing underwear in a gesture likened to Sharon Stone's infamous scene in Basic Instinct. The staffer who made the claim believed it was directed at Mr Clare.

Mr Clare has responded that the claim is "categorically untrue".

Staff have also accused Ms Husar of overseeing a sexualised workplace, according to Buzzfeed, including putting her breasts on a male staff member on two occasions; asking employees to zip up her dress, making them uncomfortable; talking about people she would like to have sex with or had had sex with; and leaving shirtless firefighter calendars on staff members' desks.

One ex-staffer said Ms Husar had put money intended for other purposes into her personal bank account. Buzzfeed claimed thousands of dollars in campaign funds raised by the party had ended up in her bank account.

Other claims included Ms Husar repeatedly bullied and belittled staff, failed to reimburse them for buying her lunch and coffee and run personal errands, such as making beauty appointments and picking up drycleaning.

Further details about earlier claims against Ms Husar that she made staff walk her son's dog and pick up its droppings and had employed her children's nanny at taxpayers' expense in her office were also revealed by Buzzfeed.

The dossier of the MP's behaviour is contained in a May 16 letter written by barrister John Whelan, who is conducting the Labor Party's investigation and sent to Ms Husar inviting her to respond to the claims, Buzzfeed reported.

The Australian Financial Review does not suggest the allegations are true, only that they have been made and are yet to be fully investigated.

Ms Husar's office directed requests for comment to Mr Shorten's office, but the MP herself took to Twitter to proclaim her innocence.

"This smear is completely and utterly untrue, unfair and hurtful beyond belief. 100 per cent false," posted Ms Husar, who last week took leave as the allegations erupted.

"These are absolute lies that have been fabricated by [a former staffer], who's working to leak against me and ruin my reputation.

"I have done my best to cooperate with the investigation and clear my name, but it's clear these people will stop at nothing to destroy me."

Mr Shorten's office issued a short statement.

"Mr Shorten has not seen the letter referred to in today's Buzzfeed article, nor was he aware of its existence before today," the statement said.

"NSW ALP informed the Opposition Leader of the independent investigation on 18 July, following a media enquiry."

Ms Husar wrested the marginal seat of Lindsay in western Sydney off the Liberals at the 2016 election. She holds it by 1.1 per cent.

when it comes to MONEY   she was no shrinking violet was she???

putting her baby sitter on the payroll  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Multiple staff members gave evidence about claims previously revealed by BuzzFeed News that Husar’s “personal babysitter/nanny [redacted] is employed by [Husar] in the electorate office in a casual capacity”, despite staff warning her this was inappropriate.

“Employees have witnessed [the nanny] doing tasks for your children in the office (back to school kits) during times where she was meant to be working for the office, and that [the nanny] would attend the office later and leave earlier to pick up your children.”

“It has been alleged that you employ [the nanny] in your office in order to top off her wages (which [the
nanny] informed [redacted] was $15/hour in cash).”
Staff alleged that Husar employed the nanny on a part-time basis in the electorate office, so she didn’t have to pay a babysitter to look after her children before and after school and on weekends.

“[Redacted] states that he observed that [the nanny] had no computer skills (i.e. she could not turn on a computer without assistance and could not open a word document) and was unable to assist with constituent enquiries (e.g. if constituents telephoned). [Redacted] stated that when asked about what her skills were [the nanny] stated she could tidy up and answer the phone.”

Gee, panic stricken rtard Polly Waffle flies into DENY MODE.

After the weekend disaster for Labor keeping the worst Opposition "Leader" in Australia's history how much more bad news can the poor old rtard Polly Waffle handle before he slides off the armchair ? He was in delirium mode yesterday.

With the full moon next week no doubt he will fly off into another delirium mode again.

And the lying Bulldust Billy now claims (lies) he didn't know anything about Emma's flinging flurries even tho Albo knew all about it.

The silly old rtard Polly Waffle is in delirium mode again fantasizing about his HERO again. Doting Dotage ?

Senior figures within Labor are discussing whether to disendorse Emma Husar as Labor’s candidate for Lindsay in the upcoming federal election, after BuzzFeed News revealed she was being investigated for alleged workplace bullying and misconduct.

Bet rtard Polly Waffle still reckons she is the bee's knees. Laborites can do no wrong. A few splashes in Labor's vast cesspool of corruption.

Buzzfeed exposures are good stuff because they make the Lefties cringe and curl up in distress.
