Wasn't it a Bruno Mars concert ?

Which she seen in her own time. She had attended an NDIS conference one day and that afternoon flew to Brisbane while there she went to the Bruno concert then went on to attend 2 meetings on family violence the next day ?

The concert was not paid by the tax payer.

Most of those trying to nail her over this also supported Abbott both having the taxpayer fully fund his book tours and his many cycling adventures.

One of the other claims was that she flashed Jason Clare - Not only does Emma say that this is untrue but also Mr Clare

no one is accusing her of buying the tickets...

its using tax funded accommodation  and travel for her and her mate to attend said concert.....

if you read it all dna   she didnt get in touch with NDIS until a couple of days before the concert regarding her attendance........ Roll Eyes Roll Eyes there were two meetings but she only attended one...

abbott is one of the FEW pollies who works for charity.....and you rubbish him  good one dna....

yet you didnt mined shortarse diddling mushroom growers out of the penalty rates... Smiley Smiley

and you dont appear to mind the BULLYING which she is accused of either..

she claims to be an advocate for DV....

I think most realise DV  starts with BULLYING>.

she didnt get in touch with NDIS until a couple of days before the concert regarding her attendance.

NDIS was the day before in Townsville and put her in a location away from the concert in Brisbane ???

I have seen nothing to suggest that the DV meetings were organised late either that is only speculation.

Fact is that she seems to have had legitimate reasons for the travelled to locations and for the accommodation.[/q

funny things happened on the way to a concert. Roll Eyes

Ms Husar had declined to answer The Daily Telegraph’s questions about whether the two meetings were organised before or after Ms Husar decided to go to the March 14 concert.

But The Micah Project yesterday said they accepted the meeting invitation on March 13 — the day before the Bruno Mars concert was held on the night of the 14th and two days before their meeting with Ms Husar.

Micah Projects chief executive Karyn Walsh said they accepted Ms Husar’s meeting request via email on Tuesday, March 13.

Ms Walsh said while she could not locate the original meeting request that was sent from Ms Husar’s office, she did not believe it would have been received more than a few days earlier.

She said that was not unusual for politicians who often left organising meetings to the “last minute”. The meeting was scheduled for an hour. The tickets to see Mars were paid for by Ms Stone as a birthday present for Ms Husar, whose birthday is a month after the concert on April 20.

Not forgetting ...

A Senate estimates committee was told Mr Howard and four of his staff incurred a bill of
$A42,680
in 2001 when they stayed at the St Regis Grand, the top hotel in Rome for four nights.
The fee did not include breakfast.
Labor took advantage of the revelation, asking the prime minister in question time how he could justify such expense to taxpayers.
Mr Howard said it was a suitable standard of hotel for a visiting prime minister and it had been recommended for security reasons.

Mr Howard then tried to the turn the tables back on Labor.
"I would be very interested to see what the figures were in 1994 when prime minister (Paul) Keating and a party of 18 stayed four nights at the Hotel de Crillon in Paris which was then the premier hotel in Paris," he said.

The current price of a basic single room at the hotel, at Place de la Concorde on the Champs-Elysees, ranges from Euro480 ($A868) to Euro575
($A1,040) per night.

"It would be a sad end for a woman who just two years ago was considered the dream candidate — a well-presented, working, single mum of three with heartfelt passions for disability rights and domestic violence awareness."

Indeed - all the credentials for escalating the selfish and endless war against men with the ultimate aim of raising women to control of society... Jesus God... no wonder I won't vote Labor...

The reality is their endless pushing of 'rights' for special groups ('rights' that nobody else enjoys, BTW) is aimed clearly at reducing this society under servitude under a climate of fear of arbitrary Night and Fog, no social stability, ongoing cost to abandoned men for their families they no longer have any say over ... in other words - it's a way of establishing a feminocracy, since women are generally more 'tame' in the workforce, and thus the domination of society passes through them to those 'at the top', and forcing men to pay for it, as usual, by any number of devious approaches.

Well - I say NO!

Jeez - just yesterday Anna Pale-ass-chick's socio-fascist government in Queenslund dictated 'no junk food in hospitals'...... just another component in the steady erosion of the Unassailable Right of every individual to choose for him/her self, and compelling them to abide by Big Brother, who of course knows better what people really want and should have.

Didn't anyone ever tell these Dickless Traceys that there are severe limits to the powers of government, and that the power of the province stops at the village gates, and that government is a servant to the people and not the other way around?

Damn - even Saigo Takamori, one of the prime movers behind the Meiji Restoration and abolition of the Shogunate, superficially conservative actions (kinda shows the confusing nature of Japanese society wherein duty to the Emperor may lead to opposition to the emperor's troops and government)*, had the philosophy that government had the duty to serve the people first.

BOTR.  I will not be voting Labor, LNP or Greens....... and will not vote for any who give them preferences....

*Same here - civil war to overturn the wrongs of government is not treason or a crime against the nation, it is a duty to the nation.  The US War of Independence was the same, as is every other such.

'...that whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends (life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness), it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organising its Powere in such Form, as to them seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that government long established should not be changed for light or transient Causes; and accordingly all Experience hath shewn, that Mankind are more disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

But, when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object (abolition of the Forms to which the populace are accustomed), evinces a Design to reduce them under Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security'.

From the U.S. Declaration of Independence, 1776.

Turnbull rejects Shorten's claim he was unaware of Emma Husar allegations

Labor right concedes Husar will likely not contest next election as investigation nears conclusion.

Malcolm Turnbull has renewed his attacks on Bill Shorten over the opposition leader’s assertion he was unaware of the allegations surrounding Emma Husar as “simply not credible”.

Those within the party have admitted her political future is limited and internal Labor conversations have centred on how best to handle the fallout of the claims and investigation, which is believed to be in its final stages. Members of Labor’s right faction have conceded Husar will most likely not contest the next election.

“It’s too public, it’s too much of a hangover,” one factional powerbroker said. “That horse has already bolted.”

So far, Shorten has avoided giving an opinion on Husar’s future, only saying he believed there was more to the story, and asking for space while the internal investigation ran its course.

Turnbull, who maintained he was unaware of allegations that Barnaby Joyce was the father of his staffer’s child, despite staff turnover in his former deputy’s office, said Shorten must say “what he and his office knew, and when they knew it”.

“His claim that this has all come as a surprise to him is simply not credible,” Turnbull said in his first press conference since Sunday.

“The allegations are very, very serious. It shows that there is enormous enmity, that there’s a civil war going on in the New South Wales Labor party, that this this correspondence, this lawyer’s letter to Emma Husar, would be leaked.

“There are very serious allegations of financial misappropriation of money and other allegations of harassment and bullying.

“Mr Shorten has got to be upfront and tell us exactly when he or anyone in his office knew about this, when they knew it, and what did they do about it?”

Last month Buzzfeed reported that an investigation into Husar’s office began in March, following high staff turnover and allegations of bullying and harassment, when NSW Labor appointed barrister John Whelan to investigate the claims.

Shorten said he first became aware of the allegations through Buzzfeed’s media enquiry, the day before it published the story on 19 July.

Since then, further allegations have been made public, including those contained in a letter Whelan put to Husar in May, with Buzzfeed reporting Husar stood accused of inappropriate behaviour and of having fundraising monies diverted into her personal bank account.

Husar denied the allegations in the story, responding in tweets where she blamed a former staffer and his father, both of whom are involved with Labor, for the leaks. She remains on personal leave.

Albanese, who last week admitted he knew of the investigation into Husar after it was raised during conversations at the NSW Labor state conference in late June, but had not passed the information on to Shorten, said he was troubled by how much of the investigation had been made public.

“What we have here is a process in place and the idea that you should have a running commentary while there is an independent investigation taking place is not fair, either to Emma Husar or to the people who have made complaints about her,” he told the Nine network.

Albanese did not wish to comment further when approached by Guardian Australia, but told Nine he thought the $444m grant to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation should have been the bigger news.

Husar holds the western Sydney seat of Lindsay by 1.1% and it is not considered a safe Labor electorate.

For that reason, Labor has pushed back against calls for Husar to quit, given a byelection would be costly both in expense and potentially, party unity.

“It probably doesn’t matter what the report says now, she’ll end up in the backbench not contesting the next election,” another party source said. “It has passed the point of no return.”

A spokesman for Shorten declined to comment.

NSW Labor representatives did not respond to requests for further comment on Friday, but on Thursday told Buzzfeed the party had concerns over how much of the investigation and the allegations had been made public.

“The continued speculation about this matter in the public arena is of significant concern. It is a cause of some delay to the process and is serving to escalate tensions in an environment where parties to the assessment have expressed concerns about the impact of this matter on their wellbeing.

“The independent assessment is reaching its final stages and NSW Labor expects to be briefed by Mr Whelan in the coming weeks. NSW Labor will not be commenting on any matters which may be before the independent assessment.”

Intense speculation inside Labor as embattled MP Emma Husar's career hangs in the balance
By Fergus Hunter, Nick O'Malley & Deborah Snow 5 August 2018 — 12:00am

The increasingly toxic mess surrounding the conduct of Labor MP Emma Husar has triggered fevered speculation among party insiders about the leaks and complaints that have put the junior politician's career on the line, with some accusations spilling out into the public arena via social media and the pages of newspapers.

One theory about the origins of the scandal, circulated on Facebook on Saturday, has accused western Sydney Labor members of mounting a campaign to unseat the MP, claiming the agitators are fabricating negative stories as "payback" for previous internal disputes.

The claims, just one example of the intense speculation taking place inside the party, said there was an effort against Ms Husar as revenge for her supposed involvement in the downfall of former state Labor MP Karyn Paluzzano, who resigned in 2010 over misuse of public funds.

...

"What's happening to Emma now is payback from people in the [state electoral council] who believe she was somehow involved in leaking on Palluzano [sic]," the Facebook post claimed.

A federal Labor MP from NSW told Fairfax Media some people were clearly out to get Ms Husar but that some complaints made against her were likely to be upheld in the internal investigation being conducted by barrister John Whelan.

"She's not going to come out of it well. Some things will be dismissed and others won't be. She won't come out of it in sufficiently good shape to get re-endorsed," the person said.

Ms Husar declined to comment on Saturday, citing legal advice.

Mr Whelan is said to have collected more than 200,000 words of evidence from about 20 staff who have gone through the MP's office since she was elected two years ago. The junior MP has been accused of bullying staff, forcing them to carry out personal chores for her, and misusing taxpayer-funded entitlements, including the Comcar travel service.

This week, an explosive letter detailing the complaints against Ms Husar was leaked to BuzzFeed News. It including a sensational claim she repeatedly adopted a sexually provocative pose in front of Labor frontbencher Jason Clare. According to the story, a seated Ms Husar crossed and uncrossed her legs to demonstrate she was not wearing underwear – emulating a famous scene in the 1992 film Basic Instinct, starring Sharon Stone.

Ms Husar and Mr Clare have strenuously denied the claim, which Ms Husar called "completely and utterly untrue, unfair and hurtful beyond belief".

She also said Labor figures were fabricating stories to "leak against me and ruin my reputation".

The leak of the letter is also the subject of an enthusiastic guessing game internally, with sources telling Fairfax Media that only two hard copies existed.

On Friday, amid the deepening chaos, NSW Labor's powerful administrative committee urged party members to refrain from commenting publicly on the investigation.

When the report is finished, it will go into an internal committee process that could see Ms Husar stripped of her endorsement as Labor's candidate at the next election.

There is a growing view within Labor that Ms Husar's departure is all but assured, given the volume and severity of the complaints against her, although she appears unlikely to go voluntarily.

Must have the hide of a rhinoceros after all that Mal has claimed the sergeant Schulz defence on.

Mal knew nothing about Baaarnaby's GF even having givien her a high paid job as a favour to Baaarnaby. He had dishonestly required Baaarnaby to remain in parliament as an illegitimate member and went on to campaign in New England with Baaaarnaby at a time when it was not believable for him to claim no knowledge of the girl friends pregnancy.
