Major blow to GetUp! Mediscare fraud now illegal

What will the slimy waste of space GetUp! get up to now that their farcical Mediscare FRAUD is now illegal after the passing of the Mediscare Bill ?

Just further to the “Mediscare” bill, here is some of what Christian Porter had to say in that URGENT press conference:

It is a significant day for Australia’s democracy today. I just wanted to make three comments about the significance of this bill. The first is that the integrity of the Australian democratic system absolutely relies on the proposition that we have a clear, statutory statement of principle that it is a criminal act to use modern mass communications to deceive Australian voters, and that’s what the Mediscare bill does today.

The second point about this is that the new offence, which will make it a criminal act for anyone to impersonate or contend that they are acting on behalf of a Commonwealth body, will apply to a very broad range of Commonwealth bodies, from Commonwealth departments like the department of attorney-general to Commonwealth corporations like the NBN, right through to critical service delivery agencies of the Commonwealth such as Medicare, Centrelink and the NDIS.

The third thing I’d like to note is that the bill contains a civil injunction power so that if something like the Mediscare campaign happened again, where Labor sent text messages reporting to be from Medicare, impersonating Medicare, then injunctive proceedings could be listed straight away to prevent that sort of behaviour and prevent the mass deception of the Australian voting public.

So now a government minister who says he represents the government will be arrested and charged? Politicians aren't the government - they are only its mouth pieces.... time they got used to it and stopped playing silly games like feudal lords and ladies...

Very nice, a bit like a new mousetrap. My only concern is that now any political lobby has a whole year to invent a new mouse to con the citizens that still is legal.

Without integrity, there is no limit on what new tricks one can play on the democratic process. Democracy was designed to work within a certain ethical framework of 'should do', not 'can do'. Unfortunately, this has been lacking in politics over recent years. They have not even been able to supply us with Australian citizens to vote for lately.

The, so called, "Mediscare" campaign contained largely factual information, on the whole
The big cuts to Medicare have taken place in the areas of diagnostics and pathology laboratory charges - where they draw less attention than GP charges

As a DSP - with a list of chronic conditions, a mile long - I require an extensive range of pathology tests to be carried out QUARTERLY

Medicare rebates have been cut on many, allowed a maximum of one rebate per many - and some have had rebates abolished TOTALLY, as no longer covered by Medicare, in any form - whatsoever - including for veterans, aged and disabled pensioners

Labor's mistake (or lie) was the implication that the recorded phone message came direct from Medicare - and not the ALP branch responsible

So which party are the

Or to put it mildly Labor's brain GetUp! stuffed up real bad with the Mediscare FRAUD!!!!

Already the slimy GetUp! waste of space was preparing another silly childish scare campaign for the ABC.

GetUp!'s problem now is that the Libs are now far more aggressive than previously and won't hesitate to rip Labor to shreds and turn it all into another election winner.

Just look at the neat way the Libs have turned silly Bulldust Billy's lying into a real good election winner as now NOBODY believes ANYTHING that oozes out of lying Bulldust Billy.

And Bulldust Billy has torpedoed himself with his silly rubbish over the Libs tax cuts.

And the Libs are highlighting how the Labor Party is controlled by the vicious hostile anti-Australian unions and that Bulldust Billy is just the puppet of the slimy CFMMEU so that a VOTE for LABOR is really a VOTE for the hostile malignant anti-Australian highly destructive unions.

With the booming Australian economy it is now a downhill run for the Libs to win the election.

I was so rejoiceful when Kevin Rudd won the election about a 'Fair Go'. Unfortunately he was lying. The unfortunately named 'Labor' party have lost their integrity since Bob Hawke put Keating in charge, and that was just the beginning. Now the ALP is a joke to decent Australians. I can't say that I wish I had wised-up sooner, but I was honetly very happy when Rudd won. I never dreamed of the catastgrophe that was to follow.

Now I can't be right-wing and still call myself a merciful human being, and I thought I had the left-wing to keep my flying, but they have let me down, so today I will invent a new wing to fly with: the Human Wing.

The Labor Party is now just a bunch of greedy union brown nosers.

All their leader wants is to retire on a nice big PM pension just like Gillard and Krudd and to Hell with the consequences.

The horrifying spectacle of a Bulldust Billy "leading" a mongrel coalition of the union controlled Labor Party and the mad as cut snakes extremist Greenies is enough to make a decent person's flesh crawl as the hideous spectacle of the WORST "Govt" in Australia's history looms like a dark threatening cloud over Australia.

Bulldust Billy would make the destruction wrought by Gillard and Krudd on the Australian economy look like child's play.

Hey mate, thanks for using my username, because I believe it resonates throughout our world population to the women who need the most encouragement, so you have done good.

I agree with a ittle less outward vehemence, (because it doesn't win me arguments), and all want to write to support your words is to suggest a hint to you, sir. Watch Shorten's live interviews, and watch where he says 'Aaah', in the middle of his sentences. This has been quite his norm since 2013, and he has not not improved on his mermorisation techniques in five years. He is still reciting a script he has learned before the director says 'Action!'. Sadly, politics is not hollywood.

You watch and listen carefully to the meaning of everything that Bill Shorten says in live interviews, and when you pick one of his trademark 'aaar's, you will know how his dirty mind works.
