Nope....  watched a lot of the show though...

Didn't do Bill any harm...

I think Turnbull is in big trouble.
As he deserves to be.
Many Conservatives do not like Turnbull or the things he has allowed to happen and the direction of the Liberal Party.

I didn't watch it, but I saw Shorten on TV for the first time in ages yesterday and was shocked at how quickly he's aged. He looks older than Turnbull now. If he does get in - he'll be an old man within a year.

People are not going to vote or not vote for him because he has grey hair.

You are spot on with your assessment there Grendel.
Turnbull dragging the Libs back towards the centre has positioned Shorten to take a more left position, which is not actually advantageous, as a populist political choice, BUT, the factional damage caused with the more extreme right elements of the Libs being rallied behind closed doors by Abbott, and his former and current supporters, destabilising things, trouble is sure to follow.

I hope that Turnbull hangs on, because he is the first Lib leader since Hewson, who may have a chance of dragging them kicking and screaming to actually become the TRUE "Broad Church", that
pretenders like, Menzies, and Howard, liked to claim for themselves, but in reality has always been an unrealised aspirational goal.
If anyone can make it a true reality, then Australia will be the winner, and not just Party A, or Party B.

That's why I hope Turnbull wins, and in so doing, grows in stature, credibility, and gains the power to set the trajectory for future governments, right down the middle ground, where real Aussies abide.

WHO abides???

It seems to me that you're wanting a conservative government to be conservative, and to pass conservative policies when the majority of the population don't subscribe to so-called 'conservative' values and policies.

Then the Australian society has changed a lot since Howard was in.

Australia/ns has/have always been recognised as Conservative in nature.  When do you think it changed and why?

Tony and his leftie audience sucked Shorten's dick for over an hour. I almost puked. Turdball got ripped apart when he went on there.

It's hard to pick a specific date but I would say early to mid 2000s, with the newer generation. I mean people who were born in 2000 can now vote.

Why? Because I think that progressive values have won out. One thing I'll give the Left is that they see it as their job to PREVENT bad things happening like preventing Hitler from ever coming to power. The Right are more reactive - 'let's wait and see' and then react.

The problem with the Left's approach is that it has come across as a authoritarian.

That was beautiful Auggie. I love how the left encourages and cherishes youth, so sincere, and caring.
And they do care, they really, truly, madly, deeply do. They care so much that they do really, truly, get deeply, mad. Injustice makes them mad.  Race gets them mad. Gender gets them mad.
Hitler gets them mad.
Hitler!
Hitler!

Hitler!

Well, he just told us, didn't he. The left, they PREVENT bad things from happening, like Hitler, coming to power. Pssst.    ????? What? The left didn't actually Stop Hitler coming to power.
They didn't?
No. Hitler actually arose to popularity as a leader of the anti-left, anti-communist, Nationalist Socialist Party, and it was the absolute failure of the left and their ideology and practices as people were seeing how that was playing out in Russia. The left wing communists had been in power for over a decade and a half there when uncle Adolf told the Gerrys what a bunch of plonkers they were, and the people agreed with him.
He went on to become ReichsChancellor, then Fuhrer, and was somewhat of a world celebrity as the Architect of the German miracle, that saw them rocket from starvation and massive economic depression, to the boom economy of the world. Time magazine Man of the Year, Accolades from Leaders worldwide, pretty much the opposite of "PREVENTED", by the "LEFT", or anyone else.

Even the left know what happened next. Well, if there are any sane ones left they do, try and find one and ask them about it if you are interested in trying to claw your way back to reality any time in your future.

I do give you credit for consistency though. I cannot think of a recent post that has been so absolutely factually incorrect.
In fact, it was wrong to the point that it looked as if someone from the alt-right, was seeking  to parody the idiocy of lefty snowflakes, by portraying them as totally ignorant of actual historical facts, easily knowable to any with the ability to use google, even if too young to know any thing much from personal observation and experience, like they were making up a, Mr Silly, character.

Still the left do have their hearts in the right place, supporting the I choose to be offended community, without fear, favour, or the slightest degree of discernment or discretion.

I guess I come from a different era.
I remember when lefties were capable of independent thought.
True, I really do. I even knew people who had ORIGINAL THOUGHTS.
Sure, many think that is like the mythical Pot O Gold, at rainbows end, or Unicorns, but I assure you, people did.
