FYI.............. Quote:The Sun is Going Completely Blank, Baffling Scientists
Right now, the Sun is doing something that is technically periodical, but in some ways unusual and strange to see.
About every 11 years, a cycle is fulfilled on the Sun. It is a solar cycle of sun spots, solar flares, and similar phenomena that ranges from the most activity to the least activity. They call it the solar minimum and maximum.
According to scientists, the Sun is currently on its way toward the regular solar minimum, and it is the 24th recorded solar cycle in known history, since it began to be observed in 1755 .
If you ever were concerned about solar flares knocking out the world’s power grid or something along those lines, you probably have less to fear now.
Now, the Sun will be producing significantly fewer sunspots, that is, cooler regions pouring out of the Sun that are magnetically twisted or coiled.
However, the drop in solar activity toward the regular solar minimum has been particularly sharp. Officials report that the solar activity is declining much faster than they predicted.
It’s easy to observe: normally there would be somewhere around 15 sunspots or something around that number from April to May, but the number is currently zero.
Instead of 15 sunspots, the Sun has zero: it’s “blank.”
While the NOAA is a government agency that is completely different from behind the scenes and books have been written about their involvement with geoengineering, on the matter they said:
“Will solar minimum be longer than usual or might solar cycle 25 begin earlier? Leading solar and space science experts will convene a meeting in the coming years and attempt to predict solar cycle 25.”
So far in 2018, the Sun has surprisingly been “blank” for about 60 percent of the time that has passed so far. It’s not all that surprising for the Sun to be blank during the solar minimum apparently, but the sudden silence is raising some eyebrows.
It sort of touches on the innate curiosity we have about our universe, to know that the Sun can be “blank.” In 2016 it was also reported that the Sun briefly went blank, and it was surprising to people who are unaware of the solar cycles.
Scientists report that the exact peak of this solar minimum is supposed to be in about 2 years, in 2020. That’s when the Sun should be completely bald, blank, spotless for up to several months at a time. That might mean 2 or 3 months.
What’s strange however, is that the Earth is hit with more cosmic rays when the Sun is weaker, although not many effects can be observed from the solar minimum and maximum at all. However, people should never exclude the possibility that there is something spiritually significant about the solar cycles that we don’t know much about.
The latest data concludes that this solar minimum is coming a little faster than expected, that this 24th cycle is particularly quiet, and the last solar maximum was also weaker than expected.
For some reason, the last solar maximum which peaked around April 2014 was the weakest peak in over a century of observation, since cycle number 14 in 1906.
