Sun is Going Completely Blank...
May 6th, 2018 at 6:06pm

FYI..............

Quote:
The Sun is Going Completely Blank, Baffling Scientists

Right now, the Sun is doing something that is technically periodical,
but in some ways unusual and strange to see.

About every 11 years, a cycle is fulfilled on the Sun. It is a solar cycle of sun spots, solar flares, and similar phenomena that ranges from the most activity to the least activity.
They call it the solar minimum and maximum.

According to scientists, the Sun is currently on its way toward the regular solar minimum,
and it is the 24th recorded solar cycle in known history, since it began to be observed in 1755
.

If you ever were concerned about solar flares knocking out the world’s power grid or something along those lines, you probably have less to fear now.

Now, the Sun will be producing significantly fewer sunspots, that is, cooler regions pouring out of the Sun that are magnetically twisted or coiled.

However, the drop in solar activity toward the regular solar minimum has been particularly sharp.
Officials report that the solar activity is declining much faster than they predicted.

It’s easy to observe: normally there would be somewhere
around 15 sunspots
or something around that number from April to May,
but the number is currently zero.

Instead of 15 sunspots, the Sun has zero: it’s “blank.”

While the NOAA is a government agency that is completely different from behind the scenes and books have been written about their involvement with geoengineering, on the matter they said:

“Will solar minimum be longer than usual or might solar cycle 25 begin earlier? Leading solar and space science experts will convene a meeting in the coming years and attempt to predict solar cycle 25.”

So far in 2018, the Sun has surprisingly been “blank” for about 60 percent of the time that has passed so far. It’s not all that surprising for the Sun to be blank during the solar minimum apparently,
but the sudden silence is raising some eyebrows.

It sort of touches on the innate curiosity we have about our universe, to know that the Sun can be “blank.” In 2016 it was also reported that the Sun briefly went blank, and it was surprising to people who are unaware of the solar cycles.

Scientists report that the exact peak of this solar minimum is supposed to be in about 2 years, in 2020. That’s when the Sun should be completely bald, blank, spotless for up to several months at a time. That might mean 2 or 3 months.

What’s strange however, is that the Earth is hit with more cosmic rays when the Sun is weaker,
although not many effects can be observed from the solar minimum and maximum at all. However, people should never exclude the possibility that there is something spiritually significant about the solar cycles that we don’t know much about.

The latest data concludes that this solar minimum is coming a little faster than expected, that this 24th cycle is particularly quiet, and the last solar maximum was also weaker than expected.

For some reason, the last solar maximum which peaked around April 2014 was the weakest peak in over a century of observation, since cycle number 14 in 1906.

its going to be very very interesting to see how cycle 25 will go...

interesting times folks...

and as far as we are getting belted with more cosmic rays go..

its because we have a weakening magnetosphere along with the solar minimum..

So the sunspot numbers are the same as 2009.

I must have missed the 2009 ice age

Cosmic rays must be hitting Antarctica really really hard:

...

Up to 24°C hotter than normal.

Oh no, “cosmic rays” are also pummeling the Arctic as well:

Quote:
The Arctic sea ice is presently at its second lowest extent ever recorded in most of the major monitors. However, May is shaping up to be far, far warmer than normal for the Arctic Ocean region. If such high temperatures over this typically-frozen part of our world continue for much longer than a couple of weeks at this key time of year, precipitous summer melt is sure to follow.

https://robertscribbler.com/2018/05/07/arctic-ocean-deep-in-the-grips-of-may-tem...

...

...

See how much warmer than normal the Arctic is—this is Arctic Amplification.

...

Just see how much ice is being lost—in the winter and spring after a La Nina! This loss of albedo is going to warm the Arctic Ocean which absorbs the sunlight where ice and snow used to reflect it back to space.

The Arctic doesn’t even need to get above freezing for ice to be lost: a warmer Arctic means thinner sea ice and thinner sea ice is more likely to be broken up and swept out of the Arctic than thick sea ice by any bit of storm reaching the edges of the Arctic—see NSIDC for how the edges have less concentrated ice than the central part.

I guess this idiotic ice age is going to start at the equator because it doesn’t look like it is starting at the poles!

Here he talks about April:
Quote:
The maximum for sea ice volume was reached during April. According to the PIOMAS model, it peaked on April 16th at 22,376 km3, which is the second lowest maximum on record, 1594 km3 above last year's stunning record low maximum, and 301 km3 below 2011's maximum. The total freeze during the 2017/2018 freezing season was the highest since 2013, but not all that much above the 2006-2017 average. This bar graph shows total freeze for the 2006-2018 period:

http://neven1.typepad.com/.a/6a0133f03a1e37970b0223c848ea97200c-800wi

Trends in Arctic ice are clear:

Extent:
...

Volume:
...

Clearly, the odd blips are just minor fluctuations on a long term trend: ENSO, the El Nino/La Nina pattern has an effect as has the Pacific and Atlantic Decadal Oscillations. A warm Pacific is sending energy into the Arctic and the Arctic is increasingly prone to hot air pushing in from Siberia.

So, we are not in or entering an ice age. Definitely not.

The clear and obvious long term trends in Arctic ice melt (and the tundra, the permafrost, is also thawing out) show that Anthropogenic Global Warming through burning of fossil fuels and a bit from land use change is driving climate trends.

Less Arctic sea ice—and it is clearly lessening noticeably—means more extreme weather for middle latitudes. Some of the effects that I have rabbited on about include a slowing of the AMOC (aka Gulf Stream) with warming of the Atlantic where the Gulf Stream flows—this powered the three north easters that hit the New England region of the US. Sea level rise from Greenland and Antarctic icesheets melting and from the slowing AMOC causing even more sea level rise off the East Coast of the US. Have we forgotten England was hit by the remnants of the easternmost hurricane/tropical cyclone Ophelia? That was nourished for part of its path by warm Gulf Stream waters spreading easterly, blocked by the cold pool south of Greenland.

We are now seeing the same pattern—warm air in the Antarctic in fall and (presumably) winter. What do you think this will do to glacier/icesheet melt?

Will we (& NZ & South America & South Africa) see bitter cold from displaced Antarctic air. We did get hit by some cold air from the Antarctic Peninsula, gave some snow all the way to south Queensland. South America as far north as Rio de Janeiro gets hit occasionally now by Antarctic air now and then.

Look to insulating your house!

To put all this in perspective here is a tweet from Feb:

Quote:
Lars Kaleschke @seaice_de

There is open water north of #Greenland where the thickest sea ice of the #Arctic used to be. It is not refreezing quickly because air temperatures are above zero confirmed by @dmidk's weather station #KapMorrisJesup. Wacky weather continues with scary strength and persistence.

1,204 people are talking about this

And I guess the above is what Dubyne was meaning with his “Arctic temperatures are recovering. Of course, he earlier lied to his faithful followers including Booby, that the Arctic had not warmed. Then he obviously forgot that lie.
