'to realise something'

The meaning of the phrase [the word] [in the English language];

                 'to realise something'

....can have two differing, specific interpretations or meanings.

1/ [within ourself] to become aware of something, or to 'grasp' a [mindful] understanding of something.

2/ [within the world itself] to achieve or fulfil, a desire of the heart.

There are so many hidden treasures ['ideas'] in our human languages.

And in actual fact, all of those 'mental ideas' and 'ways of expressing ourselves',     firstly,    resided 'quietly', within our human psyche.

i.e.
They have only found [later] expression and/or acknowledgement, through our communicable human languages.

The English language is a beautiful and evolving instrument of communication and expression. Unfortunately, it is not held in much esteem by the great majority. In fact, they resent the correct usage of spelling, grammar and pronunciation. Mine is far from perfect, but I welcome being corrected; anyone who writes, or speaks, should.

The resentment of correct English tends to indicate a sense of social inferiority, yet some of the greatest exponents of English have come from humble backgrounds. They were intelligent enough to never stop refining their ability to communicate.

It's just a shame that your posts totally destroy the English language

Brue Lee pointed at the moon and said not to look at his finger or you will miss all the heavenly glory. The words point.

Words do not contain the truth.

That's why you have to read between the lines to see what someone is saying, etc...
That's why you have to 'see' what people mean.

Finally? Speak for yourself, and the plebs. Many of us grew up in a families that were horrified by the treatment of the natives. Its not an awareness that that came about in the last generation.

Realise also means to convert a non–monetary asset into money, “to realise the value of it.”
