Karnal's only trip to Vietnam was as a backapacker with his over weight indian boyfriend.

The most heroic thing he did was give his fat curry fkbuddy a shove from behind when he got stuck while taking a tour of the VC tunnel system in Chu Chi.

Were you there Gordon....Hiding behind the little children perhaps???

Huh Huh Huh

You have to forgive Phil, Gordy. They're a bit slow in the outer colonies.

Bobby what makes you think Karnal wasn't a soldier in Vietnam? I know she is abrasive, but if she served she deserves our respect and gratitude.

One of my mum's friends is a Vietnam Vet. I don't know him well but I have thanked him for his service.

Don't think I've ever met one Vietnam Vet that you would call a lefty. In fact most have been conservative voters. Very anti Labor.

I know quite a few Vietnam Vets.  Many are from the Left, some from the Right, some from the Middle.  Many are grateful that the Left got them out of Vietnam.   Which is more than the Right ever did, hey?   Roll Eyes

The left got them out of Vietnam hey? Most were home or one their way home when Gough got in Brian. The US were pulling out. That's the only reason we were pulling out.

The left - the Moratorium - got us out of Nam, Homo. The Viets finished us off.

You're too young to remember the good old days, son. Take it from those of us who were there.

I was barely toilet trained by the time Saigon fell. Apart from a few years in school cadets, I claim no military service.

I do have an interesting story or two about being detained at gunpoint in the central highlands near Pleiku when I was living in Vietnam. PM me if you're interested.

Trying to pretend you are deserved respect because you once wore a uniform doesnt cut it for me. All this 'served " business is jingoistic propoganda perpetuated by the Yanks. Refuelling aircraft remote from any war zone and in less danger than the average desk jockey is not something to dine out on. In fact it reeks of desperation to try to be somehow important because you have achieved nothing else in life other than to be a low level grunt performing a mediocre job. And yes Big ole I have been in war zones. What about you? I was also in Butterworth in  the early 80s , no claim to fame there.

Because he is a military impostor, plain and simple a fkking grub of the highest order  Angry Angry

How so?  I haven't read the stories or the evidence.... I always thought Karnal was satirical in his/her posts, to make points by showing how absurd some positions are.

That has no bearing on any military service he or she may have had or claimed, and my long-stated position is that I do not question a Veteran's version of events, since it is always different for every individual - and written histories are not always correct.  What may look like a simple contact from fifty yards away is not the same five yards away....

P.S.  I don't like to judge without clear evidence and do not listen to what people say without support for what they are saying.

I have been listening to that idiots drivel for many years now, and like all impostors he makes a slip up every now and again. His 'patter' doesn't ring true.

Ill give him one thing he has stuck to his lies for a long time now even when pretty much every single serviceman here has called him out for being a bullsh1t artist.

Hey BigOl. Did you serve? If so, thank you for your service.

yeah and thanks  Wink Wink
