Don't sell yourself short, son. You maintain more boys here than you ever did in your pissy RAAF "service" uniform.

The one good thing about you, Hole - your nice flat head.

While you're down there, love...

For someone who claims to have been a school teacher you seem to have a pathological fixation with homosexual rape and boys, don't you?

Boys? Son, in the army, blokes like you are known as "girls".

Big Hole 64.

That's right Karnal,

you tell em

you never feared any man.

I feared every Warrant Officer and Military Police I ever came up against, boy. And I still copped the hidings.

Feel the fear and do it anyway. Either that, or join the RAAF.

This is just a crap thread.

Our service men and women deserve our respect. if someone makes a claim they have served, and it is here on here on the net, the simple thing to do is accept it and leave it at that.

Picking holes into any story is just a game for those that know jack and never really served.

Even if it is BS, let it go for you all know nothing unless you were there.

Karnal & all the others have stolen no valor -

they are all the real deal.

I actually had a gun pointed at me in Vietnam. Beat that.

Wow - tell us more war stories.

No war stories, not claims of heroics. I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I was on a solo motorbike trip through the central highlands when members of a ethnic minority, the Montagnards, went nuts after being stirred up by outside agitators. They raided a small police station and killed a few cops. The response was overwhelming and about 10-15 Montagnards we killed in the ensuing crackdown.

I blundered into town late in the evening after it all went down, and instantly put in lockdown with a minder in a hotel and told nothing.

I was allowed to leave in the morning, but about an hour down the road, some security police pulled me over, pointed AKs at me and kept me there until an English speaking officer arrived to question me. When they established I wasn't one of the outside agitators, I was hastily evacuated form the area.

Here's an article about it, not accurate as it was written close to the time of the incident when facts weren't clear.

Really? You should expect more from yourself...

Hi Karnal,
Do you see how humble you are?
BigOl should be ashamed of himself for disrespecting a digger.

Midnight oil Lyrics

The hardest years, the darkest yrs, the roarin' yrs, the fallen yrs
These should not be forgotten yrs
The hardest yrs, the wildest yrs, the desperate and divided yrs
We will remember, these should not be forgotten yrs

Gordon's a member of that fortunate generation that didn't have to put up with post-war rebuilding, or post-colonial independence, or the Cold War, or in our case - like many other countries - conscription.

If Gordon's parents had settled in Israel like many of his relatives, he'd have to deal with all of that, but gordon's parents were smart. They delivered baby Gordon, as if in a basket, to Jehovah Heights.

Since then, Gordon has lived a privileged life with no problems. Private schools, holidays, money, an easy life. Gordon never had to bother with a career in plane refuelling, like some of the other members here. No, Gordon's had what we British call a good innings. He will never know the struggle of those he takes so much joy in pissing off.

Like Nicole (RIP) and Andrei Hicks, Gordon is a member of that jet setting class we used to know as cosmopolitans. They hate boats, love planes, and they base their very identities on their superiority to those despicable poor and tinted races who travel in steerage.

We had cnts like this in Nam. Most had their eyes opened. But pricks like Gordon, Nicole, Andrei and silly old Big Hole never bothered to open their eyes. Instead, they chose to live their lives n an inane, chest-thumping stupor. Reading them is like watching someone have an epileptic fit. Lots of frothing and fitting, no awareness.

I don't mind their hysterics. On an artistic level, I love it - so creative, so much energy and fervour. I disagree with lawyers like Aussie that they should be shut down.

I think they should meet the despised lower classes and "rubbish people" they claim to be so superior to. Hang out with us for a bit. Have a halal snack pack. Look in my shed. Have a curry.

Nam changed my consciousness. It changed most of my generation, even those who were never forced into fatigues. Revolution won't shift them. The only thing that works is getting them to listen.

And they only way you can do that is to never shut up.
