Link.

Quote:
Former Greens senator Larissa Waters could be set for a political comeback after receiving the overwhelming support of the party to retake her Senate position.

It comes less than nine months after she resigned during the federal citizenship crisis, following her discovery that she was a dual Canadian citizen.

A month-long poll by the Queensland Greens was counted at the end of last week, delivering Ms Waters with 75 per cent of the primary vote from members, securing her place as the lead Senate candidate.

It means she could take back her former position that was filled by Andrew Bartlett when Ms Waters resigned last July.

Last month, Senator Bartlett was pre-selected for the federal the seat of Brisbane but had not indicated yet if he would wait until the federal election was called before stepping aside.

Ms Waters said she expects to take back her old job as soon as Mr Bartlett decides to stand aside to focus on his campaign.

"Andrew's a good old friend of mine and he's been doing marvellous work in the Senate," she said.

You're making some heroic assumptions there.

Has she asked her mum and dad that all important question: Hey Mummy and Daddy, where was I born?

The ALP, the progressive party, the party of ideas, the workers' friend, is the only Australian political party to roast four young Australians in roof cavities. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!

I'd be pretty confident she has now renounced that Canadian (?) citizenship.
