I live in Sydney. Yes it's big and busy and getting busier. I didn't say I liked it. But unless the ageing population problem can be solved your stuck with it unless you are prepared to accept declining living standards.

So far, all options to ameliorate the problems have been panned. So unless a solution is found then it's tough titties.

Simply reducing population growth has its own set of problems which are not very palatable either. Swings and roundabouts.

I see why you were asking me about the Northern Beaches.
I grew up around beaches so when I moved to Sydney I was naturally attracted to them. Changes are happening up here Dee Why is always been known for flats but that is slowly moving north Collaroy on the main road is mostly flats now.
We are still a few decades away from seeing the craziness of the Eastern Suburbs.
