I probably have more reason to hate (big) dogs than you do. Got mauled by one in Hong Kong and had to have two injections a day for 7 days - straight into my stomach in case it had rabies. It turns out it didn't have rabies, so it was daubed on the head with a red dye to signify this before being released back to the owners.

And then two of my brother's Alsatians began to 'go savage' on me.

Sheep actually. But protecting any livestock is legal.
