Tesla on the other hand have so many orders they are behind in deliveries and all you lot can do is hope they go broke so none of these orders get fulfilled

The last company in Australia that tried taking orders for vehicles was Leyland and their P76. That strategy put too much pressure for them to deliver vehicles. It was in part the reason why many of the cars had quality issues and why it folded operations in Australia after just under 3 years of operation.

Mind you, I have a P76 and think it's a great car.

our neighbour had one when I was a kid and every 2 years he used to repaint it with brown house paint.... I loved that car. Smiley
yeah because they (Tesla) had 450,000 pre orders they have rushed and have lost a bit of money,  it sounds like the boss has decided not to do that again and is sorting everything out now. Wink Wink

Yeah. That money is already in the books as an asset. It won't translate to the P&L account until or unless they are actually delivered.

"Plenty of customers who placed a $1,000 deposit on a Model 3 still have a long wait ahead of them, though. Tesla has accepted around a half million reservations for the car. The company has revised its target date for producing 5,000 of the cars per week, which it now hopes to accomplish by the middle of this year.

But even that only adds up to about 250,000 cars per year — so buyers at the tail end of that 500,000-reservation line could be waiting well into 2020 to get their car. Plenty of would-be customers are already frustrated, in part because the delay could deprive some of them of a $7,500 tax credit. There’s also a growing number of competing electric car options, including the Nissan Leaf, which could benefit from Model 3 frustration."

Aren't you going to qualify that. That home charge is only IF they have the fast charger installed.

According to the accompanying site 6-30 hours.

lol try reading Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
they said it takes 10 sec's to plug the car in... it could take 12 hours to charge but they r at home and wont care......
although 10,000 miles in 50 weeks is only 200miles a week or 30 miles a day even a slow charger is only about a hour at night. Smiley Wink Wink
