Well that's why we have tankers. Until we are willing to walk and catch trains we then won't need so many tankers sailing about.

I would have to put a paper bag over my head to mix with the commoners and catch public transport.

Without cars we are stuffed. Mad Max and mad Max 2 might be the most prophetic movies ever made. The worlds certainly going to change when oil starts running out.

Yeah. Check your fuel pump regularly.

Run a bit of regular through it every now and and mix the ethanol with a bit of regular as well will help, I knew someone who used a still to run his V8 holden ute this way, blow flies and all went into his still.

So the way to make it happen is to give them low cost electricity. Low cost electricity can be used for hospitals, training, better health standards. There then is no longer a need for a higher birth rate.

That would be very cruel, they would all blow up!
We all should start eating rice, after all much of the worlds population survive on this stuff and it doesn't seem to do them any harm, if they could genetically modify it to taste like a t bone steak it would be a win win.

Heavily patriarchal societies also have higher birthrate.
In the Middle East, women are there to pop out kids.

We need more nuclear reactors.

Third world societies need to reduce their birth rates in order to attain higher standards of living. First world countries moving their industries to third world societies will lead to third world countries reducing their birth rates as they find that they need to decide between having a refrigerator or having another child. Third world materialism will take place to a point where they will make the decision to be careful how many children they have.
