Perhaps you can cite an anvil industry that got those billions ?

the never ever clean coal technologies and deisel rebates !

and what about the libbos infamous direct action plan ?

Diesel rebates aren't subsidies. Property flippers as you call them get none either.

How's direct action a subsidy. Coal and gas have certainly had a fair swag over the years though.

Property flippers and investors get lots of corporate welfare in the form of tax concessions and CGT discounts.

It's been explained to you numerous times. You really are a dense twat.

your explanation does not count and nobody else except you actually believe in your own BS.

Your ignorance has reach legendary proportions. Do us all a favour and explain to us all just why the CGT discount is a subsidy.

"In a classic piece of political sleight-of-hand, the anti-privatisation McGowan Government has not only privatised parts of a publicly owned power utility’s assets, but has put them in foreign hands.

Labor boasts it won government on the back of its promise to stop the sale of any of Western Power to Australian investors, but last week it sold off part of Synergy to a European fund."

Sounds like renewable energy could have solved his problems....Many factories are now installing solar panels on the roof to reduce costs....Good idea???

From the OP....
Quote:
Mr Whiting said other options to save power were limited.

"We don't have a big enough roof space to go with solar so we're probably going to try and put timers on lights in the venue," he said.

Can't remember people complaining like they are now when it was run by the SEC. Just the other day I went past  a power pole that looked like a tooth pick and ready to fall down and kill someone. I suppose that's how they do maintenance now. Wait until someone gets injured or killed Sad

Again I ask you who is stealing all of the dosh when people are only getting paid a measly 6 cents per kwh for their feedin whilst the retail price is 25 cents a kwh ? Where is all of that money going to ? Certainly not on maintenance I can assure you.

Like I said if it achieves nothing or is a zero sum gain like you allude to then get rid of it. What's the problem ?

You obviously have no idea how much it costs to reticulate power.

Its hell expensive.

This is why I want the government out of it, as soon as a new bit of technology comes along poles and wires will be redundant.
I dont want to be owning them when it happens.

Can't the technically obtuse impractical Greeny types like the lost cause LostSnail actually realize the Greeny Renewable Rubbish Secondary Power is not worth a bumper at night and when the wind frequently drops ?

But stand back and understand what the vile Greeny hidden agenda really is.

The Extremist Activist Greenies want to basically wreck the Australian economy and what better way to do it than wreck Australia's cheap reliable stable coal and hydro Primary Power supply that gives Australia a natural advantage ?

The anti Australian traitorous acts of these vile Extremist Greeny Activists needs to be widely announced to ALL the Australian people to make them realize just what evil creatures these crazy sick Extremist Greeny Activists coots really are.

And these Extremist Greeny Activists are financed from overseas by similar ratbag groups.

And Labor is supporting these beasts because to form a "govt" Labor will have to form a "coalition" with the Greeny Ogres just like they did last time.

Our Works Manager was making enquiries late last year for hiring diesel genset for our major plant overhaul later this year. He found out that there would be a wait of at least 9 months to hire or purchase a generator. The reason? Woolies hired or purchased every diesel genset on the Australian East Coast they could get their hands on to guarantee the supply of electricity in their stores!

On the flipside, the LCOE for solar is now cheaper than coal fired ower stations. In terms of solar power projects, Western Downs Regional Council in Queensland has 2800 MW worth of proposed projects alone. Toowoomba Reigional Council has recently approved construction of a single 2000 MW solar power project.
