I know that any political party that is led by anyone who is foolish enough to employ Ashby as a chief of staff should be avoided like the plague. How many long-time senior ONP figures have left the party - or were pushed out - since Ashby was put in charge?

Ashby seems to be setting himself up to lead the party in the event Hanson retires from politics or he can push her out. Hanson will be 64 this year, so her retirement from politics is not an unrealistic scenario.

Do not be fooled by his apparent charm. It is a common trait of psychopaths.

It will be the end of PHON when Hanson goes. Ashby knows he is not Party Leader material. He is seeking to be the power broker, the bloke ultimately pulling the strings behind some muppet like Hanson. As for charm, nah. He is far from personally (or even publicly) charming and has the personality of a brick.

What makes you think I was trying to do you a favour or harm? All I attempted was to put a current PHON official in contact with a bloke who reckoned he was also a PHON official with inside knowledge of the internal workings of PHON past. Simple as that.

I don't find Ashby charming.
Nor do I pretend to know his plans etc.
I also won't denigrate the bloke due to political bias.
Also Ashby will never be leader of PHON. Those left in it will not currently support that and there is no reason to believe that will change any time soon.
