You can prove that somehow right.
I mean there was negative reaction to his speech from the usual suspects right away...  hard to do if not reported right?

So far Stone and Shanahan are right lots of negative reaction but all aimed at Abbott and not a word about his speech.

Oh except the "volcano and goat" reaction.

In Australia, we’ve had ten years of disappointing government. It’s not just the churn of prime ministers that now rivals Italy’s, the internal divisions and the policy confusion that followed a quarter century of strong government under Bob Hawke and John Howard.

Wonder if Tony understands that he was a major contributor to that poor government ?

This part was correct.

This does not seem to be the type of thing that kick them when they are down and then kick them again Tony would do. He sure loves those boat people. I doubt he or anyone would want to be treated like he treated them?

The first page of the speech was generic and not too bad if hard to associate with what we know about Abbott's actual performance.

The 5 following pages of climate rant would qualify as rubbish. Mostly misquoted and exaggerated facts wrapped in utter BS with just enough close to true to mask it a bit and make parts sound plausible if you didn't know Tony.

Time I will never get back.

Then there’s the evidence that higher concentrations of carbon dioxide (which is a plant food after all) are actually greening the planet and helping to lift agricultural yields. In most countries, far more people die in cold snaps than in heat waves, so a gradual lift in global temperatures, especially if it’s accompanied by more prosperity and more capacity to adapt to change, might even be beneficial.

Global warming is beneficial - Idiot.

More than 100 years of photography at Manly Beach in my electorate does not suggest that sea levels have risen

Everything is ok - no global warming at Manly ?  Is this guy for real ?

In its last few months, the Howard government even agreed in-principle to support an emissions trading scheme.

That is right Tony went to the election with a carbon trading policy. Tony then blocked the negotiated carbon trading policy that was almost identical to the one he went to the election supporting ????
