So Madison is 400 miles south of where my fellow brewer lives, so Madison climate has moved 400 miles north which is the same as 400 miles poleward.

I don’t know what point you think you have made but I think it exists in your head only.

In SA some of the cyclones and anticyclones that affect our weather and bring us our rain have moved south and more rain now falls in the sea. That means the belt has moved polewards. Saying “polewards” just means you don’t have to indicate what direction that is. We see in both hemispheres a movement of climate bands polewards.

And I wasn’t “regurgitating” what he said I mentioned what he said. Gee, and environment board, lots of discussion (and denial Wink

) of AGW why wouldn’t I mention what the guy said? I also made clear he was not a climatologist tho the word “weather” should have tipped people off.
