A change to the PDO
could see a jump in temperatures, just what we want with the three main icesheets about to slide into the sea!
The ENSO and PDO are not new events. They are not caused by climate change , they are natural events.
Did I say they were new or AGW related?
But you don't think the ice sheets in the NAO will affect global temperatures.
The Pacific is by far the largest ocean, its cycles have a much bigger effect than those of the other oceans. Now you conflate NAO with ice sheets. Yes, the Arctic influences mid latitude weather, where have I said otherwise? The disappearing Arctic ice also has consequences for mid latitude weather and I have said that more than once.
BTW - Did you see this paper on coral bleaching?
" The 2015–2016 El-Niño and related ocean warming has generated significant coral bleaching and mortality worldwide. In Indonesia, the first signs of bleaching were reported in April 2016. However, this El Niño has impacted Indonesian coral reefs since 2015 through a different process than temperature-induced bleaching.
