The paper you quoted said it wasn’t significant.

You did manage to leave that out of the quote  Wink

Yes. Your paper mentions CO2 at 364ppm (30% above pre-industrial levels) you didn't include that. Wink

Jovial needs to watch a DuByne video:

But you can watch this one:

"Global Cooling" the movie - Documentary on the Grand Solar Minimum. A new mini ice-age has begun.

Published on Jul 19, 2017

"Global Cooling" the movie is a documentary on the ongoing descent into the Grand Solar Minimum and it's effects on the planet. Special excerpts of John Casey's talk on his book "Cold Sun". If you haven't figured it out yet "Global Warming" caused by man is a hoax perpetuated by falsified data and corrupt governments to achieve population reduction and dominance. What we all need to do is come together as a community and start preparing for the coming food shortages by growing food. Together we can make it through this climatic catastrophe unfolding before our very eyes.

Quote:
2016: a record in surface temperatures and in CO2 concentration

The activities of human beings are increasing their impact in the planet year after year. In 2016, the annual global surface temperature increased for third year in a row, becoming the hottest year in recorded history – for now.

And why should that matter to us? Because it means ice melting, sea levels rising, freshwater shortages for agricultural productivity and lack of food, which will arise more conflicts and emigration. We may survive to a temperature increase, but that’s useless if we don’t have enough food and water.

As the map below shows, in most of the planet regions, the 2016 average temperature was between 2-4 ºF higher than the average from the period 1981-2010.

...

Quote:
Moreover, year 2016 has registered the largest annual raise of global atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2). From 2015 to 2016 this value increased by 3.5 ppm, surpassing the boundary of 400 ppm for the first time ever: 402.9 ppm.

The CO2 level will be rising again as the NH moves into fall and winter.

Quote:
Besides the global surface temperatures, the sea level also rose to a record: it increased for sixth year in a row, being 3.25 inches (83 mm) higher than it was in 1993. But the alarming statistics of the State of the Climate 2016 are on the Arctic surface temperatures, both in land and sea.

See that, Booby the Gullible? Alarming Arctic surface temperatures—alarmingly warm, not cold. I thought the ice sheets were forming again? Doesn’t look like it!

Quote:
The average land surface temperature at the Arctic was 3.6°F (2.0°C) above the 1981-2010 average, while in other regions at sea this increase was much higher. In August 2016, regions of the Chukchi Sea and the west of Greenland showed an increase of 13 to 14 ºF (7 to 8ºC) above 1981-2010 average. However, that is still below the extraordinary register in the Barents Sea during the same month: 20 ºF (11ºC) above average. In fact, the rate of warming in the Arctic is twice the rate of the world average, and that is originating serious consequences for the rest of the planet.

Wow! 3.6°F (2.0°C) above average with 14 ºF (7 to 8ºC) above average and an amazing 20 ºF (11ºC) above average in the Barents sea.

Funny old ice age, Booby!

Who was the numbnuts who put a boundary on 400ppm? Wink

And still not showing in tide data? Why?

Does it matter? You know the poles are warming faster than the rest of the globe because albedo change added to AGW.

But according to you the poles and the Arctic are melting. That should raise sea levels. Wink

Nope. But you must be going senile.

If there is all this sea level rise, why is it not reflected in tide gauges?

Nope, tide gauge data and satellite data both point to increasing sea levels.

The tide gauge data picked the acceleration of sea levels from the Greenland melt.

Please show the tide gauge data that supports your contention. Wink

https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/sltrends/sltrends.html

Have a look at the map there. Based on tide guages.

Quote:
The Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services has been measuring sea level for over 150 years, with tide stations of the National Water Level Observation Network operating on all U.S. coasts. Changes in Mean Sea Level (MSL), either a sea level rise or sea level fall, have been computed at 142 long-term water level stations using a minimum span of 30 years of observations at each location. These measurements have been averaged by month to remove the effect of higher frequency phenomena in order to compute an accurate linear sea level trend. The trend analysis has also been extended to 240 global tide stations using data from the Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level (PSMSL). This work is funded in partnership with the NOAA OAR Climate Observation Division.

Also, from the site you used:
Quote:
The most familiar application is global and regional sea level rise and variability. The PSMSL data set is the main source of information on long term changes in global sea level during the last two centuries. The data have been employed intensively in studies such as those of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The latest IPCC report, published in 2013, finds that "It is very likely that the mean rate of global averaged sea level rise was 1.7 [1.5 to 1.9] mm/yr between 1901 and 2010, 2.0 [1.7 to 2.3] mm/yr between 1971 and 2010 and 3.2 [2.8 to 3.6] mm/yr between 1993 and 2010. Tide-gauge and satellite altimeter data are consistent regarding the higher rate of the latter period" (www.climatechange2013.org).

When will temperatures exceed 1.5°C above pre–industrial?

Quote:
Abstract

Global temperature is rapidly approaching the 1.5°C Paris target. In the absence of external cooling influences, such as volcanic eruptions, temperature projections are centered on a breaching of the 1.5°C target, relative to 1850–1900, before 2029. The phase of the Interdecadal Pacific Oscillation (IPO) will regulate the rate at which mean temperature approaches the 1.5°C level. A transition to the positive phase of the IPO would lead to a projected exceedance of the target centered around 2026. If the Pacific Ocean remains in its negative decadal phase, the target will be reached around 5 years later, in 2031. Given the temporary slowdown in global warming between 2000 and 2014, and recent initialized decadal predictions suggestive of a turnaround in the IPO, a sustained period of rapid temperature rise might be underway. In that case, the world will reach the 1.5°C level of warming several years sooner than if the negative IPO phase persists.

Pretty soon it seems, exactly when depends on the PDO.
