Now under old maths 1.69°F + 57.0°F equalled 58.69°F.

Now you can pretend all you like that 58.69°F is warmer than 62.45ºF. It won't change the "data".

Please note: They changed the baseline temperature. Now the baseline temperature will only affect anomalies. You move the baseline temperature up - the anomaly will be smaller. You move the baseline temperature down - the anomaly will be larger.

But 62.45ºF is NOT an anomaly. It is an absolute temperature. Where they use anomalies it is generally in hundredths of a degree range. If 62.45ºF was an anomaly the whole world would be in uproar.

Now if you want to argue 62.45ºF is an anomaly feel free.

Interesting graph from Bu Met about Australian temperatures:

I think the graphs are very interesting.

Notice the peaks get lower with time? Any idea what that means?

Hot days:
Why are the later 2 peaks lower than the first one?

Cold days:
Why are the later 2 peaks higher than the first one?


It isn’t really a hard question and no tricks or anything.
