You refused to even consider an alternative theory.

Science is all about theory yet you chose to only use
evidence which supported the theory of AGW.
Even when the AGW people ( your friends)admitted there has been a PAUSE for 18
years you still went out with your own wild extreme views.

You act as though you're a climate scientist when your views hold no intellectual weight whatsoever.

I - on the other hand - admit that I'm not a climate scientist
& just seek to show an alternative theory or theories.

For being a humble messenger you have attacked me - abused me -
called me names & continued for 100s of pages.
You even got me banned once when I tried to fight back.

Claim: veges are being rationed in the UK because of the LIA
Investigation by me: Murcia and Valencia parts of Spain suffered so much rain their fields, which supply 80% of europes winter veges, were unworkable. Nothing to do with an Ice Age!

Claim: Greenland at -54°F is record cold.
Investigation: Greenland recorded minimum was in 1940s at -84°F

Claim: A fox fell through thin ice into the Danube and was flash frozen
Investigation: a farmer found the fox, fished it out the Danube, froze it into a block of ice and put it by the river to warn people the ice was too thin to be walked on.

Claim: a lake turning pink in Melbourne was a sign of a LIA
Investigation: No, lakes turn pink in Australia due to a bacteria

And so it went on and on and on.

I did an investigation. I found that the US, England, Europe, northern Africa, India, Siberia and China were all in the grip of heatwaves! A bit earlier Portugal had suffered massive wildfires in which 60 people died—the Portuguese wild fire season, I read, had lengthened from 2 to 5 months. Weird for an Ice Age.

I also found that the Larsen C ice shelf had been melted by warm air and warm waters so it had lost 4m of depth of ice. Weird for an ice age. West Antarctica is heating up, weird for an Ice Age.

I would move the Ice Age thread out of Environment as being nothing more than fairytales. You can tell me where you want me to put it. As Mechanic is the only one here to believe the Dubyne fairy tales I suggest you get me to move it to his ON board.

Or you could ask FD to set up an Ice Age board, I suppose. Why don’t you do that anyway? You can then ban me from that board—I won’t ban anybody from here permanently—permanently and live the dream until even you realise we are not in an ice age.

You talk about higher concentrations of CO2 in long ago geological eras. I posted long extracts of a scientific paper that answered your question.

Sorry you will not admit AGW is happening but happening it is. The temperature series are all trending up, have done since the mid 1800s. The mechanism of AGW has been demonstrated as true by spectroscopic evidence: molecules of GHGs do absorb photons (or rays if you like) of infrared radiation coming from the surface of the earth, re-emit them but when they re-emit them they are as likely to re-emit them downwards as upwards. If they re-emit them upwards another molecule of a GHG might absorb it and so on.

As a result, spectrometry shows that at the frequencies corresponding to the various GHGs less infrared radiation is detected. That means that the GHGs in the atmosphere act like a blanket over the earth, preventing heat from leaving and so warming the earth.

So the theory—everything in science is a theory (laws of science just summarise but do not explain things)—of AGW has the evidence to back it up.

Nothing BUT AGW can explain why the world is heating—and heating up it is! 2016 was the hottest year recorded, 2017 is also a hot year with March this year the second hottest ever recorded.
