Sorry you will not admit AGW is happening but happening it is. The temperature series are all trending up, have done since the mid 1800s. The mechanism of AGW has been demonstrated as true by spectroscopic evidence: molecules of GHGs do absorb photons (or rays if you like) of infrared radiation coming from the surface of the earth, re-emit them but when they re-emit them they are as likely to re-emit them downwards as upwards. If they re-emit them upwards another molecule of a GHG might absorb it and so on.

As a result, spectrometry shows that at the frequencies corresponding to the various GHGs less infrared radiation is detected. That means that the GHGs in the atmosphere act like a blanket over the earth, preventing heat from leaving and so warming the earth.

So the theory—everything in science is a theory (laws of science just summarise but do not explain things)—of AGW has the evidence to back it up.

Nothing BUT AGW can explain why the world is heating—and heating up it is! 2016 was the hottest year recorded, 2017 is also a hot year with March this year the second hottest ever recorded.
