Have a problem with that?

Yeas.  We are all self righteous.  We even tell anecdotes of stopping the car because a passenger threw something out the window.....that sort of thing.

Self righteous? It's breaking the law and making a mess and reflects on me and my car. I don't do it, just look on the floor of my car, do it from your own car, not mine or walk.

Yes.  Self righteous.

Would you consider yourself self righteous if I was visiting you and decided to egg your neighbours property and you told me to piss off?

If it was still in "her hour" why wasn't she doing the job? Never been to a hooker myself.

So the dangers of smoking aside, I still don't see why a doctor, a surgeon at the hospital, telling someone they're smoking in a non-smoking area is deserving of, or the outcome of the coward punch was totally self inflicted or an own goal.

This isn't a limp wristed "PC one wild" lefty anti smoking Nazi chasing people around screaming at them, this guy was breaking the law where he was smoking and told to move along.

If following the doctor back into the building and coward punching him most likely after he'd finished his cigarette resulting in his death is something people on here will defend because they're most likely smokers themselves and sick of being told where they can and can't smoke just proves that OzPol once again is a beacon for some of the most pathetic members of our society.

Two members have admitted to still smoking in the poll, neither of them have defended the guy...

We don't know in what manner the doctor told the fellow to stop smoking. Bear in mind that Arabs (the perpetrator) have a FAR more 'macho' and intolerant attitude than the average Westerner when it comes to being humiliated by someone for whatever reason. He hit the doctor to reclaim his masculinity. That's the way it works with those guys. The doctor 'feminised' him with a tirade of abuse that made him feel like he was the doctor's 'bitch' - and that's a big no-no in Arabic culture.

The fact the doctor died from one punch was purely accidental.

He'll be out in 4.

Watch this space.

Haven't smoked for over 20 years now. I gave up 'cold turkey' when my brother was told to stop smoking or lose his leg.

No one ever loved smoking more than I did, but the time had simply arrived when enough was enough.

I think anyone who has smoked would have loved smoking as much as you did Herbert.

I can see both sides of this, but this lout should be charged with premeditated murder at least. He hit the doctor on the head as he walked away He's using mental health issues as an excuse. If he was desperate for a cigarette - he could have walked outside the hospital to have one. He was young and physically healthy.
