There is not a single post by you about Islam where you are not trying, stupidly, to deny the Islamic core of Muslim terrorism, where you are not trying to muddle any critical appraisal of Islam by declaring that criticism of Islam is nothing but an attack on all Muslims.

That is stupid once or twice. As a matter of policy like you do, it is aiding and enabling jihad and excusing Islamic terrorism.

Ok, so I would like to centre position on this issue.

I agree as Sam Harris does, that there is a more direct line from Scripture to violence in Islam than there is in other faiths; and that IN THE EYES OF AN UNINFORMED READER the verses of violence can be interpreted as universal. I also agree that the misogyny in the Quran is more 'overt' than in other religions.

HOWEVER, I don't believe that we should prevent or ban people from entering Australia on the basis of religious belief or on what they believe in general. It is not up to the Government to determine or decide what people believe or how they behave toward their own family or children.

Academics, and i, disagree with you.

And that's fine, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Can I just say that Dawkins and Harris are academics too. Also, you need to ask yourself whether or not these academics are propagating a view that they actually believe or if they are virtue signalling; or if they are afraid to speak negatively about the faith due to the risk of social isolation?

I read a book called How to Read the Quran by Carl Ernst, a scholar from the University of North Carolina. He claimed that the Quran was written in a ring structure with emphasised certain parts over others. Whilst this is certainly a legitimate point of view, he didn't go into Surah 4, the chapter about women because as he stated, 'it was for Islamic legal scholars to determine this chapter and was 'outside the scope of theology and heurmaneutics'

It's important to distinguish between theological and Quranic scholars, and jurisprudence scholars; the latter focusing on legal rulings; the former focusing on theological and scriptural readings.

Makes sense, lots of?

The reason why it closed was because it was cheaper to run it out of Campsie than it was to have separate police stations in Campsie and Lakemba.
