I seem to recall a visit of a Chinese leader some years ago to Australia and personally observing the streets of Canberra filled with Chinese students all lining the streets cheering to offset the anti Chinese protesters. ( Dali Lama supporters and the like)

That certainly was orchestrated by the Chinese Embassy
