Aussie I don't know why you have to be so gut wrenchingly exact all the time

I was discussing briefly in broad terms the events leading up to England's involvement in the War. Yes I did use the term 'the next day' but I was speaking in broad terms and not unfolding a specific calendar of events but more in broad terms

Apparently you seem unable to get your head around this

I can't help you in that regard. I have already conceded that 'the next day' was the wrong choice of words...get over it!
This wouldnt need explaining to a normal person. It was obvious what your point was.

Thanks. Your link proves you wrong. It was "Peace for our time" and it wasnt written on that piece of paper.

ok, let me pull on your choke chain a little tighter.
This is what Baron claimed

That is until like Neville Chamberlain who got off the plane waving his famous white paper declaring, 'peace in our time'

And this is how you responded

I've just looked at a Calander to make sure, and I discovered that the day after that was the 1st October, 1938, and not the 1st September 1939.

So no Ozzy, despite your desperate convenient lie you repeated the statement as fact, you didnt quote Baron at all. Naughty Ozzy, no dog biscuit for you.
Tell another lie and I will continue to own you again each and every time. In fact, given your personality disorder you will continue to lie and I will continue to enjoy owning you.  Wink

it would be 'gut wrenchingly exact' if he got the time of day wrong. But you got almost all of the salient points wrong by huge margins. When you are discussing history, there is no excuse for getting dates and orders of events wrong. AFter all, you only have to google it.

Do what you like, but you will see that I have consently used " " and the exact words of Mr Baron.

Patting yourself on the back will get you nowhere.  Try - facts.

what does a rat do when he is caught and cant get out, he keeps running towards the same no exits in an ever increasing attempt to escape but cannot, the same futile attempts until he flounders, exhausted.

You didnt quote him, you used his claim to try and prove his dates were false. That was the only part you challenged. You had no idea he misquoted until I told you. This is great. Im  loving this.
