If you have an enemy growing strong and you are ostensibly 'safe at home across the sea'

And you don't lift a finger to smash that enemy then you are as big a fool as Neville Chamberlain was to England

How many times do I have to say this...,The United Nations is a bloody useless organisation who have presided over some of the biggest genocides in history whilst their blue bereted soldiers stood on the sidelines scratching their bums (Bosnia, Rwanda, Congo etc. the list is long)

X 2.

The UN may achieve nothing, but they also cost a lot.

Yes Aussie let's just let I.S.I.S. grow strong in the absence of opposition and just like England did with Hitler, just pretend the problem doesn't exist

That is until like Neville Chamberlain who got off the plane waving his famous white paper declaring, 'peace in our time'

The next day the Nazis marched into Poland. I think someone used that white paper to wipe their arse on

It was on the 30th September, 1938 that Chamberlain waved that 'Peace in our Time" piece of paper around.

I've just looked at a Calander to make sure, and I discovered that the day after that was the 1st October, 1938, and not the 1st September 1939.

Ya see, that's what happens when you try those gymnastics I've mentioned with one arm and one leg, Mr Baron.  It's not a pretty sight.

I don't wish to argue but Chamberlain was no fool.

Hitler made 2 peace offerings to Britain early WW2. Even going so far as to suggest how Germany and Britain can work together and the respect he had for Britain.

You have been lied to. Don't let your fears take control of your logic.

Rich Dude it is true that Hitler held out hope that Britain would join Germany in a world varve up

He referred to England as the Motherland

However when the treaty was drawn up no mention was made of Germany walking into Poland the following day

Similarly Hitler feigned friendship with Russia until he launched Operation Barbarossa against the Reds which caught them on the hop. In the early stages Russia sustained dreadful death tolls but the Russian winter and Russia's strategy of leaving nothing of value behind as they retreated and regrouped found Germany out...Blitzkreig failed

Germany invaded Poland on the 1st September, 1939.  What Treaty was drawn up on the 31st August, 1939?

He referred to England as the Motherland

As in Germany is his Fatherland and England is his Motherland, Mr Baron?

You could hardly disagree with set in concrete historical data Mr Baron, despite the fact that you said,
twice,
that German invaded Poland ONE DAY after some Treaty.....and ONE DAY after Chamberlain's 'Peace in our Times' piece of paper.

You are posting bullshit again, Mr Baron.

Unfortunately Aussie I didn't specify the exact dates, instead generalising by saying the day after the Treaty was signed

I was speaking in general terms about this and I think most readers would have 'got' what I was talking about

Regrettably as usual, you want to take that small generalisation and turn it into Judgement at Nuremburg

You aren't in a courtroom now Aussie sometimes everyone, except your royal rightness generalises. That doesn't mean for a second that the respondent is 'bullsh.tting'

You can take off your wig and gown now Aussie, you've got me dead to rights...Oh yeah that's right, you haven't got a Wig and Gown...You're just a solicitor..albeit one who has the ear of those on high, according to you that is  Grin

Aussie I don't know why you have to be so gut wrenchingly exact all the time

I was discussing briefly in broad terms the events leading up to England's involvement in the War. Yes I did use the term 'the next day' but I was speaking in broad terms and not unfolding a specific calendar of events but more in broad terms

Apparently you seem unable to get your head around this

I can't help you in that regard. I have already conceded that 'the next day' was the wrong choice of words...get over it!

Red Baron darling, put away your hate and your weapons. Donald Trump has made Muslims love us now.

They will now spend that $ 110 billion on condoms emblazoned with America First emblem.

I have nothing to get over.

This is just another of your many incorrect statements.  You did say 'next day' twice and in the context of two apparently separate 'Treaties' one of which, you will not identify.
