Personally I believe they should have their lights switched off, but that's just me being horribly inhumane and denying them their Human Rights.

The moment I read the first two words it sprung to mind that there would be a Step Parent here in the story ~ almost a no-brainer.

I even reserve the Death Penalty for people who squirt lighter fuel on cats and set them alight for vicious amusement.
