Use your phone camera at a Kid's Game.

My DIL posted on FaceBook some footage taken on her phone/camera of my ten year old Grand-daughter playing (very well, too) basketball.

She was lampooned gently by some friends of hers about breaching some Basketball Association Rule outlawing such a terrible thing.

So....I ask why?

What do you reckon was the reason for said Rule??

Oversensitive parents leading to draconian rules. I couldn't give a flying fruitbat if someone videos my child's sporting match.

But on the weekend I came as close as I've ever come in my adult life to getting into a biff when I asked someone not to smoke on the sidelines of a netball court.

Was I being precious?

Garbage. It was shared within a FB group! These ten year olds are fully clothed.....nothing sexual about them.

Apparently pedophiles have discovered facebook too.

Also, kids are entitled to the same privacy standards as adults. I'm sure you would not appreciate some stranger sharing a video of your goofy attempts at sport with all their friends.

If you are hiding from people, a photo can give away your location. If you have been working at a polling booth, you will have done the training,,, and apparently it happens. You cant make any record of some people being there.
