Fighting the exercise of free speech can be a tough job, and Berkeley’s “Antifa” protesters aren’t always up to the job. Thankfully, there is a full support system on hand during their landmark protests against one person giving a twenty minute speech about things they don’t agree with, to make being a rampaging lunatic just that much easier.

Yesterday, as a battle raged on outside the University of California Berkeley over Ann Coulter’s cancelled appearance, Antifa protesters on a break from busting up Starbucks and screaming obscenities got free neck massages from Berkeley’s own “Empathy tent”—an outdoor “safe space” on Berkeley’s campus.

Hopefully the tent’s staff were able to alleviate his sore muscles and deep concerns about the Trump administration.

The “Empathy Tent” is, apparently, a staple of Berkeley’s protest scene, and holds regular hours both on UC Berkeley’s campus, in public parks, and in the central square in downtown Berkeley. It bills itself as a “community listening project” and trains students and Berkeley residents to engage in healing conversation and “shared action.”

They also offer “circular facilitation training” and, apparently, neck massages. Sometimes, they have a giant teddy bear, and hand out bags of snacks with “kind notes” in them.

Fortunately for the beleaguered Antifa members, Thursday night’s protest was a short one. After Gavin McInnes read Ann Coulter’s planned speech, there was a short scuffle, but any planned demonstrations of violence were quickly diffused. Police made only five arrests, only one for attempting to incite a riot.

Maybe those neck massages really do work.

I suppose that's the same Berkeley whose mentoring is cited as among the guarantees of educational excellence at the Soros-financed Central European University.

Here's some of us just saw it as a purpose-built training facility for street protesters and evangelists of open borders.

Have you ever felt threatened by a chicken sandwich? Fordham University clearly thinks some LGBT students might be and has decided to bar Chick-fil-A from selling sandwiches on their campus.

Food and Wine reports:

Fordham University Rejects Chick-fil-A After LGBT Student Concerns

Chick-fil-A has long dealt with a tough dichotomy: The chicken sandwich specialist’s food is generally accepted to be pretty damn good; meanwhile, its politics — which have infamously included support for anti-LGBT groups — are cited by many as being pretty damn poor. The fast food chain still does solid business, so we can safely assume that some people probably choose their stomachs over their conscience.

But on college campuses, where student activism often takes center stage, Chick-fil-A has been having a tough time recently. Fordham University is the second college where the chain has elicited a negative attention this month – with the NYC-based university axing its plan to add a Chick-fil-A altogether.

According to student newspaper the Fordham Observer, Fordham has rejected a proposal from food service company Aramark to add a Chick-fil-A outpost in the Ram Café on the university’s Lincoln Center campus following “push back from clubs and independent students over LGBTQ issues and menu offerings.”

There are plenty of colleges which have progressive politics and say so quite openly.

Have you noticed that conservative students don’t complain about them?

In Philadelphia earlier this week, as many as 50 people shattered windows and car windshields, spray-painted structures and sidewalks, and ripped security cameras off buildings.

The damage from the night of rampaging on Monday: at least $100,000, police say. The vandals are believed to be part of an anarchist group called the “Summer of Rage,” according to the news release from police.

The vandalism happened in Kensington, targeting high-end cars and new buildings. The criminals spray-painted anarchist symbols on property and left behind a sign saying, “Gentrification is death. Revolt is life.”

Police arrested 45-year-old Geoffrey Suchocki and 28-year-old Patricia Monahan. Both face charges of causing and risking a catastrophe, criminal mischief, criminal conspiracy, and “related offenses,” the news release said.

In Suchocki’s backpack, officers found “a black scarf, a mask, a device used for shattering windows [and] a mission statement on how to disrupt capitalism,” the police department said.

Amberlynn Kabana, a building manager whose property was damaged, told the local NBC affiliate she believed the vandalism “was very intentional, very well aimed.” It targeted several properties owned by developers building in Kensington, she said.

“When you have 50 people coming down a block and their intention is to cause harm, their intention is to cause a message,” she told NBC10. “When they emptied their pockets there were dangerous weapons. They were caught with hammers. They were caught with very intimidating objects and their intention is to instill fear.”

Authorities are also investigating whether the same group of anarchists was behind a fire that occurred around 4 a.m. in the neighborhood of Point Breeze. It took 75 firefighters to put out the fire.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms said arson destroyed four upscale row houses, and is offering a $10,000 reward for information about the blaze.

Ori Feibush, the property’s developer, has been accused of gentrification. In April, anonymously posted fliers popped up around the neighborhood urging people to “fight back” against Feibush’s company and claiming the developer was “displacing the BLACK and BROWN people in the POINT-BREEZE and surrounding communities,” the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Feibush told public radio reporters that he believed the arsonists were “upwardly mobile white folks who grew up outside of the city” and who “believe that their way to promote their political persuasion is to stomp their feet and break things.”

Another day, another hilarious freak out from an SJW lacking in self-control. On a college campus, natch. This time, it took place at Western Washington University.

The commentary is priceless, as are the dumbfounded looks on her fellow students as the grasp the idea that they have to share the campus with this waste of space.

Her parents must be so incredibly proud.

And they've been at it for years it seems . . .

Professor Thomas Curry presented the case for “killing white people in context” in a 2012 radio interview. He also suggested that black people have to kill white people “as self-defense” on the road to equality, Campus Reform reports.

The president of Texas A&M University, where Curry teaches, has called the remarks “disturbing” and in “stark contrast” to the values for which the university stands.

Curry was interviewed on a podcast, hosted by Rob Redding. The professor specifically discussed how killing whites could be justified with historical examples. He then referenced some barely known academic texts that also discuss “killing whites people as self-defense.”

“So when we have this conversation about violence or killing white people it has to be looked at in the context of historical terms, and the fact that we have not addressed like how relevant and how solidified this kind of tradition is for black people saying, ‘look, in order to be equal, in order to be liberated, some white people may have to die,'” Curry said, noting how “immensely disappointed” he was at how infrequently the issue came up.
