I didn't even address DC grid. Grin

There will be less losses on the grid due to capacitance and inductance. The resistance will stay the same.

Other losses will occur converting AC to DC and finally DC to AC. Wind Generators are typically 3 phase AC output and 690 Volt. So typically you would need to use a transformer (losses) to bring up to the voltage of the grid and then convert.

You dragged up crappy, slow and unreliable FTTN. I mentioned it drops out frequently and because of Netflix (and all the congestion built into FTTN) and just wasn’t suitable.

You bullshitted that FTTN was good blah blah.

Nah.

FTTH will really allow the potential of the smart meters to be fulfilled.
