But the onus of proof is with the proponents of AGW. So where is the peer-reviewed paper showing the warming cannot be natural variation?

A 170 year periof of warming is natural variation, really? The CO2 content is higher than it has been for millions of years and the rate of warming is faster than it has been for eons. Natural variation  :D :D :D
