oh for sure... protest marches like this never achieve anything...do any of them remember what they were protesting about when they eventually grow up... probably not... Angry

Believe it or not I once involved in a protest march against University fees.

It was shown on TV too lol.

I was holding a huge placard.

It didn't achieve anything unfortunately.

Why?

THE LABOR GOVT STILL WENT THROUGH WITH IT.

YES.

LABOR!

Huh????

I was holding a placard with 1 hand and a bag full of text books with the other.

It was pretty trying and tiring work lol.

Look it was a cause I firmly believed in. I still do. Angry

And in my defence I will say that it was the 1st and last time I ever marched in protest against anything.

Why?

I did not want my family/relatives etc seeing me on prime time TV!!   Tongue

I used to know a pensioner who hired herself out as a Protester lived in Wollongong and they would be bused to Sydney and fed of course and paid $20 for the day out....

and that was my plan when I retired a professional Protester.....however I think they need strong and rugged now.. not just placard carriers...

I always wanted to sing

You can clearly see her striking the bloke in the neck

he was charging at her, she put her arms up to push him away.

Looks to me like she was charging at him. What would I know eh. Mothra contends that video shows her being grabbed first and forcibly being turned around. Do you see any of that John?

She was most likely going up to him to yell something stupid at him, but that's not what I call charging. Protesters from opposing groups do that to each other all the time and no one throws punches. He over reacted by a mile.
nah, her hands go up at chest or throat height before his do. Thats quite clear from the video. Are you suffering from Mothra hallucination syndrome? Theres a cure for that.

It wasn't a big problem for the AntiFa girl as she was wearing a mask for most of the rally.

You didnt answer the question John. Mothra contends that video shows the woman involved being grabbed first and forcibly being turned around. Do you see any of that in that video? Do you agree with Mothra or not on that point?

I'm an easy going pragmatic typed of guy with realistic expectations,  my chant would've be something like

“What do we want?
Gradual change!
When do we want it?
In due course!”
