first electricity now water

The ability to create your own water
what a game changer it can be for some of the 3rd world countries
.... talk about off grid.

Imagine a future in which every household has an appliance that pulls water out of the air, even in dry or desert climates, using only the power of the sun.

That could be the result of a prototype developed by researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of California, Berkeley, that sucks water out of the air and stores it using nothing but sunlight and MOFs.

Solar powered water condensors in a dry climate or deserts. I wonder where that water vapour will come from.

It is the lack of water vapour in the atmosphere that causes nights to rapidly chill, in the  desert.

Denizen lee is a denier of everything. If someone said "nice day isn't it" lee would deny it and demand a certificate proving it was a nice day.

No air is 0% moisture, even in the desert.

It is not the lack of water vapor that causes cold night in arid regions. It is the absence of clouds which would otherwise block convected and radiated heat from the surface.

Not all arid regions have cold nights despite zero cloud cover.

Don't worry about lee, he is just trolling again

Unforgiven is right.
In fact there are many animals that live off the condensation that forms on cold desert mornings. There is a surprising amount of water vapour even in desert air.

I haven't written it off, It seems to be hyperbole. No information about how efficient it is.

It is an interesting study, but 2.8 Litres of water a day is not much. They don't say the size of the array.

If they do work and catch on to become numerous not only in individual households but on an industrial scale.
