Clinton ally gave $500K to wife of FBI agent on email probe

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a longtime Clinton confidant, helped steer $675,000 to the election campaign of the wife of an FBI official who went on to lead the probe into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email system, according to a report.

The political action committee of McAuliffe, the Clinton loyalist, gave $467,500 to the state Senate campaign of the wife of Andrew McCabe, who is now deputy director of the FBI, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The report states Jill McCabe received an additional $207,788 from the Virginia Democratic Party, which is heavily influenced by McAuliffe.

The money directed by McAuliffe began flowing two months after the FBI investigation into Clinton began in July 2015. Around that time, the candidate’s husband was promoted from running the Washington field office for the FBI to the No. 3 position at the bureau.

Within a year, McCabe was promoted to deputy director, the second-highest position in the bureau.


In a statement to the Journal, the FBI said McCabe “played no role, attended no events, and did not participate in fundraising or support of any kind. Months after the completion of her campaign, then-Associate Deputy Director McCabe was promoted to Deputy, where, in that position, he assumed for the first time, an oversight role in the investigation into Secretary Clinton’s emails.”

The governor’s office claimed the FBI’s McCabe met the governor only once — on March 7, 2015, when McAuliffe persuaded Jill McCabe to run.

The 2015 Virginia state Senate run — her first attempt to gain public office — was unsuccessful as she lost to the incumbent Republican.

McAuliffe “supported Jill McCabe because he believed she would be a good state senator. This is a customary practice for Virginia governors … Any insinuation that his support was tied to anything other than his desire to elect candidates who would help pass his agenda is ridiculous,” a spokesman for the Virginia governor told the Journal.

McAuliffe has been a longtime backer of the Clintons, even serving as Hillary Clinton’s campaign chair in 2008.

A governor who knew Clinton - like all of them do, Donated money to a political campaign of a woman like they all do.

This woman was married to someone working with the FBI who at some point in the future was appointed to lead an investigation into Clinton.

There is a good point made in that quote no doubt Light, but because the "establishment" can't be trusted, how does that equate to Trump, a well documented liar before and after entering Politics, how can he be trusted?

His actions pre-politics have been to exploit in every single way every possible person around him for his own personal gain.  His actions post politics have been to protect his and his families interests.

His appointments to the swamp have made it worse than it was before his inauguration and you still want to spread the lie that he is the one who will fix the problem and listen to and more importantly govern for the forgotten people?

Look at the healthcare bill, it's a tax cut for the rich.

Can you even name any example of Trump taking any actions that would lead you to believe he's trying to fix the system?

Breaking: The Hunt Is On for Documents “Unlawfully Removed” By Comey

James Comey may be bitter at the president about being fired from the FBI, but for a newly emerging scandal, he has only himself to blame.

The former FBI director famously used memos to make allegations against Donald Trump, and had friends “leak” the documents to the media to put pressure on the president.

Now, a well-known watchdog group is on the hunt for those memos, and claims that they were “unlawfully removed” from government offices by Comey.

According to Fox News, the group Judicial Watch believes that Comey violated the Federal Records Act. It is asking acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe to investigate that violation — and may pursue a lawsuit against the bureau if the request is ignored.

“As you may be aware, the Federal Records Act imposes a direct responsibility on you to take steps to recover any records unlawfully removed from the FBI,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton wrote in a letter to McCabe.

“Upon learning that records have been unlawfully removed from the FBI, you then are required to initiate action through the Attorney General for the recovery of records,” the letter continued.

It’s no secret that the memos exist. Comey himself used the self-written documents as his “Exhibit A” against Trump, and testified before Congress that he provided the memos to reporters as part of his own agenda.

“I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter — I thought that might prompt the appointment of special counsel,” Comey said while under oath.

That choice could have serious consequences.

“We’re looking to get action on the records that Comey unlawfully took from the FBI, and we know initially there are memos, but depending on what the nature of the documents are, there could be liabilities for Mr. Comey,” Fitton said, according to Fox.

The primary question regarding the controversy is whether Comey’s memos are considered private correspondence, or official FBI records. If they were written at the FBI office and kept there for safekeeping, the latter scenario seems likely.

Judicial Watch has pledged to file a lawsuit in federal district court if the FBI does not respond by June 26.

“The former FBI director isn’t above the law and current leadership of the FBI should stop protecting him and take action,” Fitton told Fox.
