Ok fine, I'll rush this one out. Light and I have been through this before, but I didn't keep any of the research from back then and I can't find the original post.
The claim based off this video is:

its a staged event in a studio .. and reported as being on site
Over the years the claim has been that it was a blue screen and this was leaked footage where you can clearly see the blue screen before they applied the chromakey effect. But in reality, not just CNN but all the reporting teams were at the
Dhahran International Hotel as they had been ordered there by the Saudi authorities.
As the reporter, Charles Jaco, says in Light's video, where they were situated was between the runways of the Dhahran airport. You can use the link above, but you can see from the Google Maps satellite view that this was the case,

Look for the pin labelled "BAE Dhahran HQ Cloud 9" for the exact location in relation to the runways.
You can get a much better view of the hotel from above from here, showing the domes on the roof that feature in the background of some of the footage below.

There are also photos you can find of the distinct blue walls seeing in all the footage,

Another claim is that they built a stage to fake the footage, but in actual fact, they built wooden platforms to help them get a better backdrop facing more of the action,

There are more videos than just the one Light posted that show much more. Here are a few examples,
As you can see, you do get to see the sky and even the city in the background.
Some stills taken from those videos show the same domes from the building in the background and other angles of the platforms they had to build:

Now, of course, I wasn't there, but neither were any of you. All we have are these videos, images and information, plus the first-hand account from those who were there.
That is not enough to claim it was faked.
Every "proof" that it was faked has a rational explanation.
The only people who believe it's faked based on the evidence provided are those who want to believe it's faked. As usual, they have an agenda and are working backwards. They've already decided on their position and are looking for content that they can claim supports that, while ignoring everything that doesn't.
And for those claiming they weren't even in Saudi Arabia, the palm trees were fake, that the video was leaked or an intercepted satellite stream, where are you even getting that from?
None of that is supported by any of the available content either.
And why would there even be a satellite stream if it was filmed in a studio and then edited?
This is a perfect example of what fake news is.
People are so desperate to make a point that isn't supported by reality, so they manufacture a story, one that paints CNN as fabricating reportings from as far back as the gulf war, to minimise the effect of their genuine reporting today.
Reports that can be critical, simply by pointing out the facts, of Donald Trump.
This isn't one of those times where we're only focusing on the 10% that we don't agree on, this is one of those time where the claim is 100% unsupported and without evidence or proof, and you've been shown why.
I know, I know, many will still want the liberal tears, so they'll find a way to attack me personally or at least an excuse to continue claiming it was fake and therefore so is all of CNN.
But the truth matters.
