Looks Like Trump's War Machine Has Been Busy
Mar 28th, 2017 at 10:14am

...

Appears this American-led total bullshit coalition has admitted that its forces carried out the March 17 air strike in Mosul under the corporate media guideline that this strike was ostensibly against ISIS fighters when in reality it was a barbaric slaughter estimated to be over 200 civilians many of them children.
...

America's mass murder of innocents has been described described as largest single death toll inflicted by a coalition air strike since the 2003 invasion of Iraq yet little to nothing about this is being shown on corporate-controlled media in the US. When it is, it's sold as bullshit “heroic” fight by Iraqi forces against the “barbaric” ISIS. Make one wonder who the real barbarians are.

How long will it take Horse Boy, Sprinty, Panther, Bogie et al. to come in here and start defending these murderers?

Once they've put down the hand lotion and tissues, that is.

The Los Angeles Times reported on the 24th that 'US pilots describe dozens of strike aircraft circling high above west Mosul, waiting their turn to drop a bomb.'

This isn't defense. This is mass murder for sport.

Indeed, and the Trumptards will be loving it.

Nice try, Trumptard. And although I have zero respect for Obama and his unconstitutional drone assassination program he did make it a priority not to kill innocent civilians

War crime.

Nothing less than a war crime.

How many civilians dead now since Gulf War1? How many lives ruined?

And the Islamophobes think that radicalisation comes solely from a religion.

Civilian deaths from US-led airstrikes hit record high under Donald Trump

'These reported casualty levels are comparable with some of the worst periods of Russian activity in Syria,' says Airwars.org

A non-profit organisation that tracks civilian casualties caused by airstrikes in the Middle East said it has shifted nearly all of its resources to track a surge of claims regarding US-led strikes in Syria and Iraq.

The group, called Airwars.org, had been tracking deaths caused by both Russian and US airstrikes but said in a statement Friday that it was suspending its work on "alleged Russian actions in Syria -- so as best to focus our limited resources on continuing to properly monitor and assess reported casualties from the US and its allies.

"Almost 1,000 civilian non-combatant deaths have already been alleged from coalition actions across Iraq and Syria in March - a record claim," the statement said. "These reported casualty levels are comparable with some of the worst periods of Russian activity in Syria."

In the last week, three mass casualty incidents have been attributed to US.-led forces in Iraq and Syria, making March one of the most lethal months for civilians in the the two-year-old war against the Islamic State.

Last week, US drones targeted what locals deemed a mosque in Aleppo province in a bid to target al-Qaida leaders. US officials said dozens of terrorists were killed, but those on the ground said at least 47 civilians also died in the strikes. The Pentagon denied that there were any civilian casualties but has launched a formal investigation into the incident.

On Monday, a conflict monitoring group, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said a strike near Raqqa targeted a school that was serving as a home for multiple families displaced by fighting in the area, killing at least 33. The Pentagon admitted US aircraft were operating in the vicinity but, according to Pentagon spokesman Eric Pahon, the military is having a hard time rectifying the location of the building that was targeted with what was shown as destroyed on social media.

On Thursday, Iraqi media reported that an airstrike in Mosul killed more than 200 people. The Pentagon is investigating the claims.

After the fall of Aleppo to Syrian and Russian forces in December and the recent escalation of the US-led campaigns against the Islamic State in Mosul and Raqqa, claims of civilian casualties caused by American-led forces have outstripped those caused by Damascus and the Kremlin, according to Airwars.

As Syrian forces advance into opposition-held Hama in central Syria, Airwars has recorded roughly 50 civilian casualty events caused by the joint Russian and Syrian air campaign in March.

Airwars uses varying methods to investigate and confirm civilian casualties, relying on a medley of local news outlets, NGOs, civilian volunteers and social media to determine if casualty reports are fair, weak, contested or disproved. For March, nearly half the alleged strikes are contested, according to Airwars data.

According to Airwars, more than 2,500 civilians have been killed by the US-led coalition, which has admitted to killing only roughly 220 civilians. In recent months, the Pentagon said it has taken strides to investigate a backlog of claims while starting to release monthly civilian casualty assessments.

"The decision to temporarily suspend our Russia strike assessments has been a very difficult one to take," Chris Woods, the director of Airwars, said in a statement. "Moscow is still reportedly killing hundreds of civilians in Syria every month. But with Coalition casualty claims escalating so steeply - and with very limited Airwars resources - we believe our key focus at present needs to be on the US-led alliance."

And he's at in in Yemen too. Supporting his good friends the Saudis:

Yemeni civilians killed in first US raid under Trump

At least 10 women and children killed in operation targeting al-Qaeda in southern province of al-Bayda, medics say.

At least 10 Yemeni women and children have been killed in the first US military operation in the country authorised by President Donald Trump, medics and local media have said.

The US military said it killed 14 members of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in Sunday's dawn raid in the southern province of al-Bayda that involved missiles and helicopter machine guns.

In a statement, the Pentagon did not refer to any civilian casualties, although a US military official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said they could not be ruled out.

The official also said that one US commando died, three others were wounded and that military forces did not take any prisoners from the site.

AQAP said Abdulraouf al-Zahab, a senior leader of the group, was killed along with several other fighters in the raid on the area that has been a frequent target of US drone strikes.

Medics in al-Bayda's rural Yakla district put the death toll at around 30, including 10 women and children.

The eight-year-old daughter of Anwar al-Awlaki, a US-born Yemeni preacher who was killed in a 2011 drone attack, was also among the victims, family members said.

Her grandfather Nasser al-Awlaki, a former minister of agriculture said: "she was hit with a bullet in her neck and suffered for two hours".

"Why kill children? This is the new [US] administration - it's very sad, a big crime," he told the Reuters news agency.

Fahd, a local resident who asked that only his first name be used, told Reuters that several bodies remained under debris and that houses and a local mosque were damaged.

Trump called the operation a success and said intelligence gathered during the operation would help the United States fight "terrorism".

"Americans are saddened this morning with news that a life of a heroic service member has been taken in our fight against the evil of radical Islamic terrorism," Trump said in a statement.

Stephen Zunes, the head of the Middle Eastern Studies Program at the University of San Francisco, said this kind of intervention has only provoked more backlash against the US in the past.

"Drone strikes and intervention over the past 15 years have stirred up more terror, extremisim and anti-Americanism than it has curbed, and this incident will once again resume the debate whether this is an effective counter-terrorism strategy," he told Al Jazeera.

The US has stepped up its use of drone strikes in recent years and is the only force known to be operating unmanned aircraft over Yemen.

AQAP and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, known as ISIS) have exploited Yemen's two-year war to carry out assassinations and bombings, mostly in lawless areas in the south.

According to the UN, more than 10,000 people have died - nearly half of them civilians - since a Saudi-led coalition launched air strikes on Yemen in March 2015.

The Trumptards must be feeling pretty bad by now.

Just two months in, and it's already clear how much of a disaster this clown really is.

Notice how Sprinty hardly ever praises him any more?

Pathetic.
