The world is warming. It has warmed 1°C since pre-industrial times and it will warm another .5°C degree for sure. That is fact.

Since the moronic Trumpy is not going to try to do anything about AGW US coastal cities are contemplating moving: adapting not mitigating. That won’t happen fast enough due to all the vested private interests and property ownership.

The ETS here did not hurt anyone due to redistribution of the revenue from it.

Me, i look at the science and don’t like what I see but at least I don’t turn to pretence and waving good luck charms to wave of AGW.

We know from the science that the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere are blocking more and more IR from leaving the globe, we see the charts of temperature, ARGOS bouys are showing that the oceans are warming faster than we thought, we see the record low sea ice extent at both poles with the Arctic just coming out of the NH winter. Nothing there to give comfort or expectations of things just going as normal. LOTS more signs of AGW around.

So—we face up to it, we deal with it, stop pretending it isn’t happening.

1. More extreme heat events

2. Bushfires/wildfires get bigger and bigger and more destructive. There were massive wildfires in Chile this summer just gone and the bushfire season has extended to be nearly the whole year bar actual winter.

3. Both poles are at record low sea ice extent, glaciers retreating bar a very few at high latitude and altitude which benefit from the additional precipitation AGW brings.

4. BuMet has recorded the drying out of the southern half of the continent.

And so on.
