No, not really.

"If it bleeds it leads", and Islamic terrorism usually involves a lot of blood.

Thus, they usually get a lot of coverage.

Moreover, Islamic terrorism often occurs in places that us westerners are familiar with (Paris, London, Bali, Germany, etc.) thus, it makes the news.

Terrorism in regions that we don't visit for holidays is of very little interest to the average Australian and therefore, rarely makes headlines in our local newspapers.

Rest assured, though: most terrorist attacks are carried out by non-Muslims.
