The true chain of "logic" at play here is:

I dont like Trump

Therefore

I will accept any accusation levelled at him.

It is in keeping with findings within neuroscience that the emotional brain takes a position then the logical brain attempts to justify it. Jonathon haidt uses the metaphor "elephant and rider" the elephant is so powerful that ultimately its gonna do what the hell it wants, but the rider can attempt to guide it.
