That was the best Election and Inauguration ever.

Trump campaigned his socks off.
The media was hard biased against him.
They never gave him a chance.

Hillary put in a poor performance, relying on her deeply flawed experience and getting the female vote.

To be honest....I've never seen such a display of celebration  in America before.

It was all different this time.

yes, it has been decades since 'the Stars and Stripes' have been so proudly displayed.

Much the same as Brexit.

It was as if America had elected its 1st ever President.

I have to say it was sensational to watch.

Well their very first Orange Groper anyway.

It is different, but 49% of Americans want Trump gone.

Trump has the highest negative-approval ratings of all newly-elected presidents. His approval ratings match Nixon's during Watergate.

Trump can't govern a country effectively with such a population against him. The Nixon/Vietnam period showed this too.

Before Trump came onto the scene....I wasn't interested in American ANYTHING let alone American politics.

Now....BECAUSE of Trump....I can't get enough of American politics.

He's made America well...more interesting.

He's very charismatic and has an Idontgiveashit attitude towards anyone trying to thwart the platform of promises he was elected on.

I kinda admire the guy. He has guts.

But ....it's early days.

He just told australia to F... OFF

how you feeling about him now?

Link?

seriously Lisa.... have you not read about THAT phone call between trunbull and Trump where the orange douchebag literally hung up on him after ONCE AGAIN going on about his inauguration numbers?

Just heard Turnbull on the news..apparently Trump didn't hang up but they had a frank and forthright 1/2 hour discussion. Mis reporting in this instance.

Turnbull is trying to be diplomatic and stop it becoming an incident. But no one believe it did not happen exactly as reported.

Trump spent $932M and won 306 electoral votes.

Hillary spent $1400M and won 232 votes.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/politics/2016-election/campaign-finance/

She had the unstinting support of the entire obama administration,  the media, the big end of town and the clinton foundation.
And she lost badly.

Trump backed himself. He gave money .

Hillary did not.
she took money

Quote:
................The final figures are not in yet. Open Secrets reports $14 million. If memory serves, Trump loaned his campaign $50 million for the primary and $110 million for the general, and has written this off. Hillary has evidently not written off any loans yet, and may not need to because she had almost half a billion dollars, more than twice what Trump had. Her campaign probably still has money.

In her 2008 run, she had loaned her campaign about $16 million, and Obama helped her pay that off.................

None - exactly the opposite. It is openly known that she took millions of dollars from the campaign funds as a living stipend. While legal it was quite a scandal when the news broke during the campaign...........

I suspect you might be right, I just don't want to believe that creep can be so f-*ing rude as to wipe out our very important alliance with the US just like that.. Angry

http://16004-presscdn-0-50.pagely.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/Trump-vs-Hil...

Quote:
.................Since the party conventions in July (from August 1st through Saturday, October 22, 2016) Hillary has participated in only 34 campaign rallies to Trump’s 87. Of Hillary’s 34 campaign rallies where she was present, only a dozen of these events had crowd estimated at over 1,000 people.

Donald Trump on the other hand held 87 events in the same time period of which only 7 had crowds estimated at less than 1,000. Most, if not all, of these small crowds for Trump were special campaign events where he gave speeches on foreign policy, childcare, or his recent Gettysburg address, for example. Trump has held 80 events with crowds more than 1,000 in this same time period with 16 of these events with crowds 10,000 or greater.

Trump averages more than 6,000 at his events while Hillary averages less than 1,000. Because Trump has many more events than Hillary, he averages getting in front of more than 6,700 per day compared to Hillary’s 380 per day in this time period.  Because Trump has worked much harder he has 53 more events than Hillary, which has resulted in Trump having more than a half a million (530,000) more participants at his events than Hillary............

True. We have 4 years of Trump, so let's hope he does some good.

We'll probably have 8 years of Trump if he keeps up with this keeping his promises thing.

Depends, on who the Democrat candidate is.

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

IN 4 years time with the economy in tatters and a couple new wars, the Democrats could put up a serial killer and still win. That's assuming the Republicans themselves dont impeach him before then.
