What inspired him to do this?

Was it the thousand or so similar incidents across the world in recent years in which Sunni and Shia have been competing with one another to rack-up the highest number of Muslims killed at prayer in mosques?

Was he radicalised by watching news services broadcasting these Muslim-killing barbarities from across the globe?

Shouldn't that be his defence in court? He fell foul of being radicalised in sympathy with Muslims shooting Muslims at prayer in Mosques?
