Unforgiven Gold Member Offline I have sinned Posts: 8879 Gender:	Trump's repeal of the TPP agreements is a sham Jan 25^th, 2017 at 1:13am No party can unilaterally withdraw from TPP agreements because trade is governed by WTO rules. If Trump wanted unilateral power over trade agreements he would have to withdraw USA from WTO and the International Court system. Furthermore, Trump's conduct would render USA assent to any international agreement worthless.

Because the TPP is not actually a "free trade" agreement, its basically a legal document made by and for multinational companies to give them monopolies over patents, and allow them to sue sovereign national governments.

Its a farce - because Australia already has "free trade" with all the signatories to this sham they call the TPP. There is no actual "free trade" justification for the TPP - it is n fact anti-free trade.

Almost no one allows 'free trade' into their country. they have been 'negotiating' this for about 7 years. A sure sign there is no need for it.
