Just like in Australia; regular, hard-working people are sick of the leftist media-elite and their campus politics. The punditry have been sooo wrong about what WE want to hear for a long time; someone like Trump just had to show up to get elected. This is where the chorus will chant misogynist etc, but the presidential election seemed not to be just about the relative flaws of their candidates but also the perceived priorities of the two parties. The Republican platform resonated more strongly with working
people
.

And yet, more voted for Clinton.

Elections are about winning seats, champ. Hilary Clitton would have won if the election was only held in New York and California. Alas, in the other 48 states...

You weren't talking about seats, you were talking about people.

More people voted for Clinton than Trump.

Why do you find it so hard to accept that fact, Homo?

Trump is an extremely unpopular President.

The most unpopular in history.

Well obviously we're talking about people, Einstein. It would be great if parties won the majority of votes but it's not necessary.  Trump received the votes that counted; are we crying about the unfairness of a system thats been around since George Washington? Is that where we've stooped?

There's nothing to worry about from my perspective, because Trump isn't going to win

Hope Trump abandons the ANZUS treaty, Australia might grow a pair then

And do what? What is a big balled Australia going to do then?

Hope it's not antagonise our neighbours because the only country we could beat in a conflict is New Zealand.

110% Correct......President Trump knew the rules.....he knew the law......& where he needed to campaign.

He focused on the places he knew he needed to win, knowing full well even in his home state of New York he would never be able to change the minds of those dEMOCRAT voters to the point that he would even have the slightest chance of winning the state, so guess where he did very little campaigning.........

Same with California, along with a few other dEMOCRAT strongholds.

But, on the other side of the coin, the places he knew he needed to win, he hit them long & hard......relentless campaigning......sometimes 5 rallies a day.......day in, day out.

So, in the end, you ask why? Why.......because Donald Trump knows success.....President Donald J.Trump knows how to win.......& win he did.....by winning the States he did, & understanding  which ones he couldn't.

Donald Trump has created 515 businesses, and only 11 of them failed, that's a 98.64% success rate.

Why do Aussies support President Trump..simple..Aussies like to back a successful winner!

Donald J. Trump ....... 306

Hillary R. Clinton   ........  232

The Important numbers.....The only numbers President Trump really cared about......

The US is none of our business longy ... and Australia is non of the US's business - getting it now?

Its not about 'growing a pair' but the recognition that in a world where we have a huge country with enormous resources, we also have very few people to protect it. The entire purpose of a treaty is about keeping yourself safe. I thought that was obvious.

Why do Aussies support Trump? Because like being a football "supporter," all you have to do is sit on your fat arse and cheer the TV set.

But why would you 'cheer on' a another footy team that is beating yours by 30 goals at half time?  Are these the same people who would wave flags at an invading army?

Where were you commenting on 'racism' when Obama was elected into office on the strength of the Negro vote?

Obama was not an ignorant incompetent..otherwise I would have.

Quite the contrary, dimwit. The world at large is horrifed at Trump. Those that like him include Putin and the Chinese Premier because under Trump, they see america ceding economic leadership as well as military leadership. They are more than happy about that.

To become more independent and not rely on the US so much. It's ingrained in our culture that the US will come to our aid no matter what - we need to correct that and reduce the burden on the US holding the hands of smaller western industrialized nations, we need to grow up sooner or later

If you think that we should remain dependent on the US for perpetual and unquestioning military support, then it would behove us to not complain about their administration, whoever Americans elect

Turnbull knows this quite well ... you heard him say "We will get on with America, regardless of who their President is" ... chances are, he would say the same thing even without ANZUS

Ok bone head, accept the results, the left has had their asses kicked back into the old days, and all you say is pure speculation  based on your narrow minded outlook, get with it or get left behind.
