I don't care what the US does. I was asked what system would be better and I gave my opinion. As far as I'm concerned the US can do what they like, I'm only interested in the entertainment value of their politics.

And majority vote means majority vote. I don't mind preferential voting, as long as the person with the most votes at the end, wins. There is something seriously wrong with democracy when the majority of people vote one way and they still lose.

Fair enough John, there's nothing us Aussies can do to change things in the US anyway, and why would we want to? I agree, each nation to it's own

I guess we'll just have to settle for our preferential voting ... and accept that the US has States Electoral College voting. But like you say, you're indifferent to what the US does

nah ... I don't think they're conflicting. Although I would do away with stupid back room deals between the parties and leave people free to number as many options as they like, I don't have a problem with preferences.

I do have a problem with someone receiving 3 000 000 more votes and not winning. I'm not a fan of Hillary, but it's not very democratic that less people voted for thrump and he won.

We would be building our own war ships, mining, oil & gas Projects.

We wouldn’t allow multi nationals based in Australia to be offshoring Australian jobs and getting away with paying no tax.

If that’s not bad enough our GOVERNMENT is also offshoring government jobs, how can we win.

457 visa workers shouldn’t exist.

Look at the difference in royalties for

Australia's LNG exports and Qatar's LNG exports
