You have conflicting statements in your last paragraph. With Preferential voting, preferences can over-ride the "majority vote", meaning the majority Primary vote.

I guess we'll just have to settle for our preferential voting ... and accept that the US has States Electoral College voting. But like you say, you're indifferent to what the US does

He's looking after Americans after all he's the president of the USA its his job to do so, even at our expense.

Even though he's in the oligarchy mould it looks like he wants to write his own script and not follow the previous script like so many presidents have done before him.
